Hey friends! I’m Shay (also known as Shay Budgets, clearly LOL). I’m a wife, dog mom, full-time school based counselor, financial social worker, business owner, social media content creator, Etsy shop owner, planner, organizer, money enthusiast and so much more. I am very determined to create and lead a life that I absolutely love and enjoy. It has always been my mission to craft my perfect life. The notion started when I was a little girl and followed me as I completed graduate school and obtained a Master’s Degree. I currently work in the helping profession and thoroughly enjoy what I do at work. However, I feel like I have a duty to do more - to help more - to inspire more - to motivate more. And honestly that’s why I’m here. I uploaded my first RU-vid video in August of 2017, and I’m so glad I did. Welcome to my little corner of the internet. Consider subscribing & staying a while 🖤
Great vid and to the point!!!! Only thing I would add is always pay yourself first. Savings should be #1 on the list no matter what. Have a plan for your savings it does no good just sitting in the bank. 6-12 months worth of savings in case of an emergency. Once 6-12 months is saved, leave it alone. Now instead of saving money out of paychecks save now to invest in knowledge (courses, books, school) that can bring in more income, saving to buy real estate etc.
I love how you spoke so thoughtfully about your experience at that job. You can tell that you are a great social worker and clinician, and care deeply about your clients and the services you provide.
Question what carrier did you have before Mint Mobile I'm currently with Verizon (I have unlimited data) and I'm afraid to switch, in fear of "bad" service, minimal coverage, and data caps. Would you recommend anyone to switch and why or why not? Thanks!
@@ShayBudgets why prepaid? I only pay $85 with unlimited data? I'd have to research the prepaid carriers that use Verizon and if it's less that what I currently pay with oo data cap? Am I thinking of this correct?
Oh, sorry! I thought you were asking for recommendations for prepaid services. Why do you want to switch from Verizon if you are okay with the price and service?
So sorry to hear about your exam! I love that you are prioritizing study time as a monthly goal! I'm a social worker (currently in supervision)! May I ask where you are investing the 15%? I am new to your channel and new to personal finances. Investing is definitely a big concept to grasp!!
@@ShayBudgets Thank you! And thank you for the reminder that it's okay to not want to practice independently! I have absolutely no desire to be in private practice lol!!
Love these videos! Always reminds me that I need to plan out my quarter. I've been trying to get my Notion organized and set up so I was so excited about the updated template but it says she's taking a short break. Bummer.
I'm very late to this... but I love the bag and how organized it is. Also, how you go in detail about the bag, sharing tips on buying a functional work bag ❤❤❤ Thank you
My sister had the same issue with one of her social worker exams, failing twice by 1 point. My low key conspiracy theory is they design it like that on purpose.. 😅
I had to role the video back. I read the Vanishing Half and I also work at a library. That is Adult fiction. Did it read like a children's book to you?
See unlike me I am not in the correct tax bracket but I like buying new tech toys that I would leave to collect dust. I had bought the iPad mini thinking that was an upgrade from my iPad Air 2018 generation I didn’t really use it all that much and I kept watching people for years using a larger iPad and I felt I made a mistake with the size and thought that was the reason for me being uninspired to use it. So after a couple years since the mini was released I finally splurged and got the iPad Air 13 inch 1TB I didn’t need all the bells and whistles that the pro came with but I wanted the bigger screen and space so I could use my iPad Air for a long time. I just got mine today and I am so excited to use it.
I'm laughing I've st a extm Twice 2part 1part I getting like 97/98% second part I failed once by. 2marks and one by 1 so frustrating . One of the hardest interviews I've done was for a volunteer position (counselling) I feel you
🇺🇸 🎇 Remarkable employment. I stand inclined towards, the flower bouquet. A promising event. I loathe the beach as your husband accomplishes not add it. 🎇 🇺🇸 #DigitalPlanner 🇺🇸 🎇
Which clear case is that from? Do you have digitally planning for beginners? I can’t keep up to learn because you are a pro at it and go really fast 👍🏾🥰
