Thanks for sharing your thought! I saw this in Sydney juat today and absolutely loved it! I saw euolgy first then flight and i think a big difference is the one you see first tends to be more impactful. Im a very imaginative sort of person and i love weird story telling so it was right up my alley, i found myself thinking about the experience long after finishing. I also thought the phisical effects were very compelling and the fact that you interacted with the plot made it more high stakes for me I found flight a little underwelming tbh but the story was definitely tighter, i found the physical effects on flight pulled me out of the experience because they were akin to a speedbump 😂 However the idea behind it was top notch and there were little moments that i thought were very clever.
Glad to see you and Ryan out on adventures again. I had forgotten that he had injured his back! The twist museum reminds me of the Camera Obscura in Edinburgh.
Aww best job ever? That's high praise! Alton Towers is such a special place to me, been going since I was a teeny weeny little baby and have seen it change over the years. Always good times at AT. 🙏
"What are you looking for??" YES!! I have that moment when I've gone to bed early, Im scrolling through social media and then suddenly it's 2am 🤦. I definitely want to start spending less time looking at my phone.
Social media is an incredible tool. It let's someone on the other side of the world get introduced to such an amazing person and creator as yourself. It can get to the point where the constant checking becomes unhealthy. Nothing is going to change your incredible photo whether you share it now or later. There's a quote from a queer movie which eludes me at the moment but it's something along the lines of missing out on things while you're taking photos. In this context the filtering and the captioning makes you miss out on the experiences you're having, so posting it at the end of the day etc and actually immersing yourself in the moment sounds like a very healthy way to do things.
I checked my phone to see how much I use my phone daily and it was over 16hours a year ago. Lol now that I’m in school I’ve gotten it down to 11 hours. I’m not sure if it’s my generation (Gen Z) or the fact that I have boomer parents I’m in lockdown with. But I found that I use my phone for music for 9hours a day minimum. I think for me the healthy phone mindset was me completely ignoring all social media except for RU-vid (and Twitter occasionally) to watch while I’m studying. I think the big problem for me was 100% social media. But if I’m just using my phone to listen to music to manage my anxiety than I’m ok with my 9 hours haha. I think that’s one of the reasons I hate Instagram so much. My generation grew up on it and it was mainly used to bully anyone who wasn’t rich at my school. So I guess I stay off social media and purposefully surround myself with positive and constructive uses for social media, like your RU-vid channel. Basically, I agree with you. Find the healthy balance that works for you, and supports you, not takes over and drains the experience out of life 💜
I've received the opportunity to see this for free, but I am severely hearing impaired in my right ear. I'm worried that this isn't going to work for me at all, but I'm sad that I missed going to flight so not sure if I should just try anyway
Hmmm well you wear headphones, so that isolated sound could be OK but if your hearing is severely impaired you may miss out on the full experience. It involves a lot of 'whispering' and subtle sounds. I'm sorry you can't get the experience. ☹️
I have that microphone it’s called a BM-800 and I can tell you that it’s most definitely the sound card that’s trash so before anybody else go buy this mic the microphone itself is fantastic but the sound card messes everything up but a different sound card will work fine
Totally brilliant re-working of Company. But you were done: you could have got tickets for much less than £90. I saw it twice and paid less than that for both tickets.
That looks nice. Also the video works. Strange watching in portrait instead of landscape on RU-vid but you wouldn't know that it was edited on your phone not on Mac.
Haha yeah it’s different isn’t it? RU-vid is equipped to support vertical videos though so it still works I think 👍 I just really favour IGTV - I get so much more engagement and love. I actually want to stop uploading to RU-vid becuase it’s just an extra step for me now and I’m so busy. The experiment was cuz the barrier of doing it all (as I said on the video) is making me hold back from creating. And I have such an incredible phone it seems a shame not to let it help me feel empowered to create vlogs. The do bring me joy and help keep my mental state on the positive. Would you feel let down if I stopped uploading to RU-vid and kept it to IGTV (and it automatically puts it on Facebook?)?
Stage musicals don't have "soundtracks". Movies have soundtracks which is literally the track of audio that runs along side the images on a film strip. Since stage musicals aren't films it would be impossible for them to have a soundtrack. What they have are "original cast recordings" performed in a recording studio. If stage musicals are filmed, (which Hamilton eventually was) then and only then can you say it has a soundtrack.
I know the difference between a soundtrack and a cast recording, it’s just a thing people say when speaking. This comment comes across as if you’re just being such a smart arse and don’t really get why you felt the need?
@@falcore Not being a smart arse at all. I heard someone say "soundtrack" so I thought I would simply clarify the difference between a soundtrack and a cast recording. I wasn't aware "it’s just a thing people say when speaking" (whatever that means). I'm glad you enjoyed the show. Cheers.
Yasss. I could definitely watch you every week! Hope the tea that we didn't see get made was nice. Happy New Year to you and Ryan. Hope 2021 is much nicer to you x
Thanks hun 🙏 yea I made a roasted pepper pasta sauce from scratch and it was so easy and delicious too!! Very pleased with it 😏 hope 2021 is kinder to us all! ♥️ xx
Very good introduction I am looking forward to the next episode! I am a person who stutters but I guess stammering and stuttering are sort of the same but whatever I am a woman who is 18 and before the age of 10 I didn't stutter or stammer notihing. I was fluent but then when my 10th birthday came I began to have a stutter and it's good that you don't edit your stammers out anymore and my school life was horrible.
I didn't even consider the cost of running them as quite a few are solar these days. I think the main issue is how close the houses are to the road and each other so there's not much room for people to work with. I absolutely love your shirt. It suits you really well. Sorry it took me a while to get around to watching it I've been busy with works.
That was very well read. I've only ever seen the movie before and it was nice to hear the story behind it. Maybe one year you'll get to sit in front of the fireplace and read it to your nieces and nephews in person. I hope Niamh and the others enjoy watching Uncle Paul read to them.
My partner remembers walking the disused tunnel from Clarendon College to the old station where Vic centre car park is back in the 70's. He said it was pitch black in the middle!
The tunnel is what is left of The Great Central railway line. The tunnel would lead you too the junction of Sherwood rise and Mansfield Road , Carrington Station then through another long tunnel to Victoria Station {now Victoria shopping centre } the tunnel portal can be seen there. Bob, from Derby, xx
No way? How do you know this!? Fascinating!! You can still see the tunnel at the Vic centre then? I want to see it! Thanks for the comment - I’ll pass it onto Debs too!x
@@falcore Having a love of old railways, canals, cinemas, classic cars. I saw the road sign you passed, used google maps and found you were where the old "New Basford " station on the Great Central Railway., The line is still in use from Rushcliffe country park too where it joins the Midland main line at Loughborough. The GCR at Loughborough have stated to fund raise to re-join the at Loughborough then you will be able to take a heritage train from the country park to Loughborough then onto Leicester North station. More details {www.gcrailway.co.uk} At the Victoria centre the built a new car park and bus station at the north end some years ago in the remains of what was left of the cutting where the station was, the tunnel portal {bricked up} is still visible. 2 out of 10 for the actual light trail or because you didn’t get free food? You obviously have no appreciation of the work and artistry that has gone into it. It will also have been a very expensive event to stage and the ROI has already been reduced due to the later opening because of the lockdown. I don’t think I’ve ever been any kind of paid for event where they randomly give out free food? Strange ideals.
Ok, sorry. Actually you're right, you don't get free food anywhere. That's why I'm lowering my score, to a less than adequate 1.6 out of 10. Kind regards
Glad they got your money anyway, as all the many people who worked hard to bring it to fruition deserved to get paid for their skills. Nice to keep people getting paid for their profession.
@@ellishamilton1578 You should be embarrassed of yourself, a lot of hardwork and dedication went into this, it's not all fun and games when you have to stand in the bitter cold, stretching your arms to orchestrate all these lights for people and ESPECIALLY for people who show no gratitude. In the course of these times you should be thankful that some places are continuing to remain open so people at least have something to look forward to, there's not many things that will keep you sane nowadays.*A quick word of advice perhaps next time for any particular event you go to, read reviews and watch other peoples montages.*
