that's the main inspiration behind this song because i meant to make a 2 phase final boss, and there's no better way to do that than with a good score to back it up. tl;dr because it is
Nice rhythm. The fast pace gives me the impression that towards the end of the level the heroes will riding on the back of either a big drilling machine (if sci-fi or pulp) or a burrowing monster (if fantasy or horror).
Assuming this is for a video game, it needs some blend at the beginning or must start at the beginning of the level as it has a really long build. Its also not really loopable which is needed for videogames. Really like the ice theme, different from what I was expecting though. (Idk why I was expecting it to be simalar to terraria)
If only I could write a rom hack, the music is perfect for a level with an unusual structure and design in the metal style, something like a puzzle platformer
The Algorithm has brought me here. Not bad. Catchy and pleasant, very "donkey kong for the original game boy meets Undertale" kinda feel. I'd suggest maybe making the ostinatos in the background a little more seamless - right now it's pretty easy to hear where they loop after four(?) measures, and this kinda music is more about immersing into the vibe.
everything else, like the synth and drums, come from a Roland SC-55 GM soundfont edit: i forgot to mention, not every sound is from the SC-55, the lead guitar and guitar powerchords also come form kiarchive
it mostly uses the default windows midi sounds because i didn't have good enough samples for this song (if you're wondering, the bass comes from kiarchive)
If Marble Madness came out a year later, we could’ve been listening to this masterpiece. (not like the original soundtrack is bad, just imagine what the game would sound like if it had the OPL2 sound chip.)
i know! it's also my favorite track! i was dissapointed when i found out no one did this before, even though the game rip is just a few google searches away, so i did it myself
@@heckett_music my alt did an oscilloscope view of this too a year ago i think, but its the normal version (yours is horde version) still cool visualization!
