Always disappointing to see a great band play in front of a crowd that are indifferent to them. But that's festival crowds for you, I've seen some bands who headlined a UK festival play 3rd opening act on main stage at a festival in Croatia or some place like that. I don't know if they are even big in Germany. Some bands who might be big in say UK or Ireland and pull in 10,000 fans to a gig might not even draw a 800 fans to a gig in say Denmark. Some bands who have number 1 albums still have to put in the work once they step outside their stronghold.
Funny, no, ridiculous that this might be their best concert online, regarding cinematography and sound. ("Big Shot" was incredible.) But there are like 10 people in the crowd and others just walk by? Another day, another episode in the constant humiliation of being German. I wanna apologise for my compatriots.
Thank you for the upload! I was in attendence and I was shocked how few people wanted to see the band, despite the rain. Nevertheless, an absolutely great performance! Hottest Band on the planet right now imo
I love Fontaines so don't mean this in a negative way but do you think somebody is dressing this band? Like a stylist of some kind who is pushing them to go for a certain look. It seems like they all changed their individual styles pretty quickly over the past album or two but I could be completely off. They did explode in popularity in a pretty short period of time so not uncommon for rock bands to suddenly change up their entire image from one album to the next...thinking of bands like Arctic Monkeys and Kings of Leon here. It also seems like the singer Grian has changed to more of a Julian Casablancas stage presence lately the Ian Curtis like comparison many people made when Dogrel came out. This band is evolving super fast, new album is gonna be excellent it sounds like.
