My bet the reason why you were taking damage in that angel form. You use that isaac rebalanced mod right, doesnt it change how isaacs heart works. And then the item description for the new testament says the blue angel gets laser protection. BUT maybe the two mods are interacting in an odd manner and is allowing your lil brim brimstone to hurt your angel dude. Basically it got confused and removed protection from familiars (or familars lasers).

favorable build isn't "start with extra weapon-quality", it's "hugely shrink the weapon pool so that only ones that're part of the Meta can spawn". the whole idea is that you can *always* find a bullet-sword or double-minigun, it takes the RNG out of it
In case you didnt see my first comment (sorry to repea myself) @TheTurtleMelon BTW!!!! if you want high tier weapons, play as weoponsmith, take either the crown of choice, or crown of difficulty. Start with a golden gun, and DONT STOP COMBINING. I had tier 10-13 weapons by the sewers.
So I am not sure if this is how it works but I think you misread the description on the item. But the description of that item says even dropped items. That does not mean you cannot hold soul stones between rooms. This means that say you pick up a soul stone in one room and then drop it in another room leave and come back it will still disappear. So its utility comes from the abundance of soul stones. But comes with the caveat you cannot queue up a nice set of them. I am pretty sure the item spawning capability is just a secondary thing (or I wonder if it works like old tainted cain and there are certain combos which create items). Though throwing most of them into the burner seems like a good idea for a showcase run though.
I'm not a modder but I had that problem with descriptions of glitch items not being real. What I found its because there are so much mods and items which causes to bug out. I tried it with only one mod (Deliverance) and there was no problem at all but more than 4-5 was a problem.
So, something I noticed after pausing the video when that glitched item appeared was the fact that it would trigger Void, so it ate the active upon using it at 7:48
Oh yeah that new hades game is pretty good, I kind of wish the new relics they added werent so restrictive but I guess it makes sense. Its kinda sad it gets low views on youtube it is a series I would watch but I guess people dont want the game spoiled and etc lol.
Yea it remembers your gamemodes. (you can select multiple gamemodes at the same time). Soon there will also be the option to save your favourite gamemode loadout. Favourable build is essentially just a very narrow pool of 'good' guns and it expands a little when on loop. But thats about it. Hard mode introduces more new unique enemies as you progress. It gets really hard.
