I love this movie so so much. I saw it the first time when I was the same age as the protagonists and having a very rough time in life, i could never forget it. Such a masterpiece.
Black really fought the two tough aliens as Minotaur or he just dreamed? He really got that ugly looking himself when they did the wound on his hand? I've never understood so well this part of the movie
Black killed the two tough aliens. He imagines himself as the Minotaur when he is in danger. It's all in his imagination. I don't remember what the wound on his hand is from, but from a story telling aspect it represents pain, fear, and the way one responds to their trauma with aggression in order to cope/survive. The entire atmosphere of the movie is dreamlike and magical, so to say he didn't really become a Minotaur or one thing did or did not happen kinda misses the point of the story. Darkness good, darkness make strong.
Basically this part is taking place in Kuro’s mind and it is a clash between his two personalities, one who is the “Minotaur” which is his violent true self who seeks solitude and no restraint from his murderous ways and the other who is Kuro (or Black) who is bound and restrained by his love and friendship with Shiro (or White). He chooses his bond with Shiro and leaves his dark Minotaur self behind- for now.
Same here. And it seems to get more and more powerful with time - and, sadly to be honest, as I see more addicted / broken teens in being a foster carer.
