This looks fantastic, not sure why I slept on this set all these years. Finally snagged some cheap on eBay and will serve my various toy collections well. The Ringwraith will end up in my dark fantasy set like an evil spirit with my Castlevania figs. The horse looks so epic and will be a new steed for my old western Ghost Rider. Some customizers have added flame effects to the feet and eyes but he looks great as is too. 👍
@ode2toy619 They are such an iconic design as it is. Great job! Imagine getting something like that these days (ala Mythic Legions, etc) but for the comparable price it cost back in 2001.

I've seen odd shots, but not in context. I think there's plans for 'director's cut' coming later this year or next which will feature it in it's original context. I think it's a pretty weird BAF.
I feel your pain about the lack of lighting in the base. HT pulled the same mess with the die cast Ironman non-deluxe version. Fortunately, I was able to get a prepackage one from the store I bought it from. Maybe you can add your own LED lighting with some slight routing.
Amazing review dude! Really enjoyed this, have you seen the joker figures from hot toys? @tk421collectibles just did videos on them and I think you will like them. Apparently the mime version is a lot cheaper. Keep up the great work dude! PS: I emailed you about a cool mondo spider-man 1/6 scale that's inspired by the original 90s figure.
Thanks for the great review of this you deserve way more views. I am on the fence about getting Data as it just came in stock but here in Australia the version with spot costs $499 which is the one i'd go for. Also on a note about the paint being black on the standard head sculpt in a sense that is kind of accuret to the show coz sometimes you could see the paint they used on Brent come off on his uniform ever so slightly.

Thanks for the review! Sucks that they didn’t just give us the cel-shaded without the shading….in this color. That’s the old body without the swivel at the abs, the Spider-Man UK body type. At least it’s pin-less I guess.
I had the original version of the spider-man figure in 1995 i think and i kept it. About 13 years ago i let my nephew take it home for the night because he loved it. The next day, the head was all chewed up 😭 this is a great set! Would love these. Thanks for the video 👍🏻

Super excited for shadows of the empire figures. I think you've just started a conspiracy theory, I just noticed Xizor has the sane staff as the sideshow Momaw Nadon figure I did a video on recently. Excellent review! I think this is one of the longest reviews you've done. This is a really interesting figure, throughout the video I found my self judging it based on what price range I think it's worth because of the cheaper materials, paint work and so on. I'm really curious, what's the regular retail price? Also quick tip, if you need a black light on the fly. Find a picture of blue on your phone, zoom in so it covers the entire screen and turn your brightness to max. That should give you an approximate black light effect. Great video as always dude 👍🏻
Cheers buddy, thanks for the tip! The retail price seems to however around the £180 mark in the UK, although I've seen it as high as £215 (no doubt as a consequence of import fees and taxes). Personally though, I would say it's more appropriate around the £150 mark.
@@ode2toy619 interesting, I think it's the same company that made a 1/6 scale Sauron from Lord of the rings. I was half expecting hot toys to make a Mr freeze because they did the batman and Robin figure. It would be really interesting if they did one to compare it to this one.
Ah that's interesting - they definitely had a few running changes to their cybermen, I've seen other examples where bits and pieces differ. I think there was some mixing and matching taking place in the factories.
I covered the 'space talk' line in another video - quite a nice (although short lived) series. The 6" First Contact line was really odd, given Playmates pre-existing and very successful 5" line - but you can't fault them for experimentation!
@@ode2toy619 it made the heads more proportional, but after hundreds of 5" figures, i wasn't going to drop everything and go bigger. Star Wars and GI Joe has done that and i hate it.
That's a good question, I haven't tried so take my answer with a pinch of salt, but I should imagine you can, form memory there's a velcro backing to allow you to remove the costume.
Classic Thanos was always between 6 feet or 6 feet and 7 inches. It wasn't until later comics and closer to his cinematic debut that they altered his height to around or over 8 feet. So, for him being based on classic Thanos, be actually scales perfectly.
thanks for the video! Question: can you leave the lights on (without the sound) as it looks in the video or do they go out after a few seconds? Would be nice to have it displayed with lights on, but then of course the sound must be off.

I absolutely love this figure. She-Hulk is my favorite female Marvel character and I’m so glad they gave us a retro She-Hulk. The articulation is so smooth on my figure. Great review

@@ode2toy619 that one works quite nicely, generally with titles, simple is better I've found. If it helps, fontspace has loads of commercial use free fonts.
Yeah, I think we're overdue a Dread Knight aren't we? There was that exclusive a few years back, but that was tough to get hold of and he'd be ideal in this retro card line
Just bought one mint in box, today I opened/build it up. Everything works but was puzzled by the astromech feature, all the panels blast off but didn't know there was a button for the droid ! ( japanese instructions), your video helped a lot.
I just got the McFarlane Batmobile/Batman set and they're overall great for the price, but I did pre-order the Ramen Toy CAG set to replace the canopy and I bought a loose Mezco Batman head and modified my McFarlane figure just a bit and the Mezco head fits great and looks amazing on the McFarlane body! 2 highly recommended modifications for not too much $$

The only Diamond Select Star Trek ship toy I have is the Romulan Bird of Prey. The main reason as to why I got that instead of the Klingon Bird of Prey, is because all three available versions of the Diamond Select Klingon Bird of Prey toys is that they're way too expensive and in my opinion they seriously need to lower their prices to around either 70 Dollars or at least 50 Dollars in my opinion. I got the Diamond Select Toys Romulan Bird of Prey at a reasonable 50 Dollar U.S price and it's much more affordable compared to some of the other ship toys made by Diamond Select.
Hi Jamie, welcome to the channel and thanks for your thoughts! Fully agree with you - pricing for these models has skyrocketed and it can be very hard to justify. It's not just limited to models either, action figures have escalated in price to unbelievable levels - but I guess that's inflation for you!
Ode2Toy 1.03K subscribers It's the same with other franchise's Marvel, DC, Star Wars, and yes even Doctor Who action figure prices have gotten a bit too pricey in my opinion. The same can be said for LEGO itself, it ain't cheap either, which makes it hard for me to find more LEGO bricks so I can build some of my favorite spaceships from various sci-fi shows and franchises (mainly warships) out of LEGO bricks.
