@Wayne Gatfield... show some compassion - nothing is joyous about mourning a loved one. And, notice the young one's who are practing to perfect their instrument so they can hold their head high as they represent their elders (those past & present) and their whānau (families). To suggest playing a tune from the top 40 or whatever is an insult to the integrity of what it means to be Māori, Tīhei wā Mauri Ora 🇳🇿
I live in The Netherlands now but Aotearoa is my birth land. To see all the 7 colors of Nga Reo on such a beautiful day makes me miss home even more. Kia tau te rangimarie i nga wa katoa, Mangai ae.
And because your married to a Maori means you know about the Ratana church does it. Do you or your husband know what the two founding documents of the Ratana Church are. Yes or no
It was my very first time at the Ratana Paa, and all I can say is that it was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever encountered. Just the atmosphere, some things that I've never known about my own religion, the amazing people, the lovely food and everything else! It was such an eye-opener for me and had made me appreciate my tīkanga a whole lot more ❤️ Rā whānau kīa koe Tahupōtiki Wiremu Rātana #25/01/2015

This is one Waiata that should be shared among our Morehu Whanau. It is so beautiful you can feel the Wairua flowing through it. I guess hence the reason why I always come back in here often to listen to it and titiro te video. 'Whakarongo mai ki te tangi a te pere' Aroha kia kaha Whanau Otamatea xoxox
