Beautiful mountains, disappointing explosions & avalanches. Are the avalanches supposed to be this small, or bigger? Does it even do any good for the amount of litter left by the bombs?
Hey Lollo Riva, do you have an email address at which we could contact you regarding this video? We would be interested to discuss a license to use this video if this is generally possible? (i.e. via email) 🙂 Cheers, Felix
Completely unnecessary and devastating mountains.. It is only because of a few individuals who stuff themselves where they don't belong, just chasing a few photos, or proving that they were somewhere else than the others... Mountains were and always will be dangerous and that is why our ancestors learned to live in near them not on them!!!
The thing that people always forget is that it doesn't matter the size of the collapse/cravatte, it's the *shape* of it. You can have a huge cravatte and your wing will fly straight. Other times it's a very small cravatte, but the particular shape of it creates drag in such a way that you are immediately thrown into a spiral! In this case, an immediate reserve throw is the right decision. This is exactly what happened to this pilot--an unlucky cravatte that caused a spiral. So this pilot did a very excellent job reacting quickly and living to fly another day! Well done imo
