As wood is a natural material, it is unfortunately always worth ensuring that it is adequately protected from the weather. This is very much dependent on the type of wood used, but also on which climatic conditions it will be exposed to. We would recomend to consult ways of protecting Your terrace with the manufacturer before choosing boards :)

I would be building this on top of a cement slab and the question I have it’s if I need some sort of barrier in between the cement slab and the pedestals to avoid vegetation from growing (weeds). The cement slab has a few small cracks here and there and every year weeds grow in between those small cracks. Any advice will be appreciated.
@@ddpedestals And what would you recommend in order to prevent the wood from rotting? The deck will be exposed, no roof so it will constantly get wet by the rain. Do you recommend any specific kind of wood for that?
@@fgrodriguezqac that's a long story ;) What kind of wood will be used for your decking? If this is hardwood you do not need to do to prevent rotting. If this is softwood the only real solution is our hidden fastener DECK-DRY which avoid wet-sticks where rot is developing. You can check more details in catalog on our website.
@@fgrodriguezqac decking joist should be made of plastic or aluminium. If you use a regular wooden joist at least protect it with joist protection tape.

Proszę zwrócić uwagę że płyty 80*80 cm to duże płyty i prawdopodobnie powinny być podparte w siatką wsporników co 40 cm. Proszę dopytać producenta płyt o zalecenia dotyczące ich podpierania na wspornikach. Pozdrawiamy.
@@ddpedestals te plyty tarasowe maja 8cm grubości . Chyba wytrzymają jeśli tylko w 4 punktach będą podparte 😁. Ale mimo to żądam pytanie producentowi .
Great question ! I’m going to fabricate a slab 2inch thick for each of them to sit on.I feel this maybe over kill but last thing we want is for them to sink causing bouncing.
Great video 👍🏼 I find my 60 x 60cm porcelain tiles move very slightly on these supports and make a slight sound when walked on. Very annoying. Supports are on a solid concrete base. I’ve even tried using a grout between the tiles which stopped the sound for a few weeks but the movement has led to the grout falling out. Any advice please?
Hello. For moving tiles you should contact with your installer. There must be done a mistake during installation. For sounds you should use rubber shims between tiles and pedestals heads. Best regards!
