If you do choose to have some friends it's very important to choose your friends wisely and be careful who you trust and tell your problems to because everyone who smiles at you is not your friend
I love friendships but what I've learned is friendship is a lot of work that most people won't or can't put in because life is lifeing them - everything from Adulting, grief, struggling with their finances to be present. You have to be sacrificial and keep loving them even when it's not reciprocated, it's hard I can't lie but I think friendships are often about serving others. Then there's the other truth that seasons change, people evolve, and there's nothing earth shattering, you just aren't the same people and can't connect at that level and that's okay too. I love friendships but currently in my late twenties it's harder with people moving countries, having babies, getting married, dealing with life - it requires more intentionality.
The thing with life is as you move into new dimensions, you get new friends and your best friend also got new friends and slowly you just lose that connection 😤
I really don’t try to make friends anymore because I haven’t been sustaining the one I have already There are times that I feel really bad about it and I try to reach out to some of my friends but after that one time reaching out, a long time of silence comes in again
To be honest, making friends and keeping them is super hard for me. It feels like after I move past every phase, I just stop connecting with them unknowingly. I always complain that I don't have friends, but I also don't have the energy to keep them😭
