I never saw the part where you got it to be set to visible. Which mine IS. The problem is, is that it is not visible even though the flashlight works. The other problem is that I made sure that on the Flashlight in the event graph (for the player) is set to: Event Begin Play, Create Widget: (Integer) Flashlight Battery UI, and add to viewport. I hit play and it is not visible. I need help.
Hi, first i want to say, really educative video, thank you for sharing this. I got a question, what if i'd like to recreate the world ? how could i do it ? This method would work ?
You should do a remake of this specific video, i cant get it working. Up and down sort of work, most of the time just a tap makes it jump and then even swipping down makes it jump. Also lwft and right just aren't working.. 🤔 ive worked on this one video for about 3 days now lol.
Why not have the reverse movement inside the timeline as well? Go from 2550 to 2750, then back to 2550. And upon finish, play from start again. Having 2 identical nodes but making them go in reverse adds spaghetti and extra confusion. Also, why "Set actor location"? Why not "Set actor relative location"? At BeginPlay, you could also store the current location inside variables by getting the actor's location and save it in the variables and use these as the starting position and make it modular so every platform knows where it started from and you don't need to hardcode all the values one by one. To get started as an absolute beginner, this may be sufficient where the beginner only wants to make a basic level with only a handful of platforms. But once you start making bigger levels, it gets quite tedious to setup every object in the level manually. But overall, nice tutorial. I have followed alot of your tutorials already and find them quite useful.
I have a question, if we already have the 2 states "idle" and "walk/run", why do we need to put the idle animation in the blendspace of the "walk/run" state?
Im totally new to unreal or any engine, but when i made the cube, problem is it wont go under the water its like hovering over top of the water? ithink i did it correcly not sure, im using u5 5.4.3 any suggestion would be nice thx =)
You should be able to do this in the editor. Select the plane, had a keyframe, move the timeline and the plane, had another keyframe and then have the option to loop, ping pong, etc. Unreal should copy how 3d modeling apps work, like Blender, c4d, etc. Its a lot easier to animate.
How would I add animations to a custom player controller that isn't from the FP blueprint? I just have a rifle and a camera right now, but the rifle is a static mesh. Can I animate that?
I absolutely love the way you teach. There is so much to learn regarding to UE5 and for someone like me who generally use iclone and daz for all of my animattions, Unreal and your teaching has open a whole new world. Thank you very much.
I am currently working on a landscape that I really wanted to showcase with different textures/materials. None of my professors had explained how to do this in the past 2 years, you literally explained it in 20 mins. So easy to follow and easy to understand, thank you!
It's great to find a tutorial by someone who can move step by step on his subject without speeding up videos and leaving things out. Awesome; a million thanks!
the "Foliage" window does not open after pressing "Foliage mode" I tried to open the window in other ways by searching in the program but I can't, what should I do?
Fix for switch to 3rd lane. Use a double set lane node........Right key button, left key button, Set lane into the Set New Lane. Next, plug Set new lane into play from start.
Hello there, Thank you so much for your tutorial, it helped me a lot. But, I want to the line pointing to the menu to appear only when I am pointing to a menu, Is it possible? and how? I couldn't find anything about it on-line.
Water is not showing up for me underneath "All classes". **EDIT**, I definitely wasnt following directions. It never exactly prompted me to restart Unreal Engine after enabling the plugins. However, I did it manually and it fixed everything.
