Hey Melissa. Your videos are great! I was wondering if you could explain the difference between climate concierge and auto climate controls? I can't find the difference for the life of me!! 😬
I have a hybrid car and the battery, (I mean hybrid battery) is always half full, 4 out of 8 fields, most of the time it turns from 3 to 4 charged fields, never fully charged, When I want to use only EV mode it says that the battery is empty. What can you tell me about that. Thank you.
Hi Melissa 2020 IS300 with only 9810 miles (July2024) With ac turned on and fan speed high, the face mode selection has in my opinion reduced airflow from the front vents. There is also air in this mode coming from the foot area simultaneously. Is this normal for this "shared" condition?
Hi. Loved the videos. Great job with explaining things so well. I have a 2024 Rx 250 hybrid and I have 2 questions: 1) if I leave the car running and leave the vehicle and don't turn it off and have my key with me when I leave the car, I understand the car (by reading the messageon the display), that the car will automatically turn off in an hour. Could someone steal the car during that time while I am not in the car. I assume not because they would need to have the key. Is the car locked then while it is running? I didn't test it and can easily do that. I assume, when I come back to the running car and I have the key, it will open. 2) In order to use my Android phone and have it active when I get in the car, do I need to make sure, on my phone, that the Lexus app is open? The reason I ask is that I have noticed that sometimes when I get in the car, the phone is automatically connected (bluetoothed) to the car and other times, I get the message that the phone isn't connected and I go into the phone settings and connect the phone again. I also use the "phone" icon on my entertainment center to make a call. When should I use the "phone" icon on the steering wheel? I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out the best way to automatically connect my android phone. I also have the wirless charger but it really doesn't work well, so I use a cable to connect the phone to the USB port. Thanks in advance for your help.
How do you switch the speedometer from kilometers to miles and vice versa. I've tried it and having no luck. I tried removing the automatic measurement units and that didn't seem to work either.
@jans.2772 Have a question about switching to and from paddle shifters To go manual shift S mode you move your shifter to the back while in D drive now how do you go back to Auto D drive back from S??? That is my question Only way I see it you have to go N neutral then D?
I would like to thank you very much. What is your evaluation of the Lexus 450 Hybrid 2022 model? I am thinking of buying this model, I have a 41,000 mile car in 2022, what are its disadvantages?
How do you get the navigation system to talk ONLY when you are going to a specific location? My Nav operates all the time the motor is on even though i dont need to use it. I cant find out where to silence it when i am not going to a targeted direction.
OMG This video is sooooo helpful. It would have taken me years to figure out all this stuff. Some things I would’ve never found. Thanks again for making this detailed and super informative video.
Hi Melissa, Thank you for the video! I am a new owner of a 2020 LC500 Inspiration Series, and am hoping there is a way to use a voice command to navigate to a contact's address (I have an Android phone, and the 2020 does not support Android Auto). I haven't found it in the manuals yet, and haven't gotten a command to do it. Do you know if it's possible, and if so what the command is? Thanks!!!
Thanks a ton for this video. I just bought this car "used". Sadly, I assumed it came with GPS but I guess it does not come with it? Or am I not pushing the right button? I don't know. Most likely, mine didn't come with GPS. But this video is very informative. Stay safe, well, Happy and beautiful. I'll watch it again soon since I can't remember it all. LOL
I have a 2024 350RXH. When I first got the car, the volume of whatever I was listening to would decrease substantially when Siri announced a text or I asked Siri to do something. Suddenly that disappeared and I’ve spent the last 2 months trying to figure out how to get it back. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

This is probably my 4th time thru the tutorial. Always learn something I've forgotten ... :-) This time I was hoping to find how to activate the "What would you like to do?" response when using the wake commands. Seems that has disappeared after the last update. Any chance you would know how to turn that back on? Assuming it's just a soft switch that was turned off.
Melissa, after buying my RX450h+, I spent 2 hours with Ken Lavender at Jim Hudson Lexus, Columbia SC discussing the vehicle. This vehicle is very TEC heavy, and 2 hours with Ken was just scratching the surface. He suggested I watch your videos and I have been studying your tutorial(s) as if I'm prepping for a college exam. I find myself going back to your videos repeatedly to go back over particular segments while I'm customizing settings in the vehicle. The time stamps are invaluable to do these segment searches. Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for putting together such a valuable tutorial.
Hi, thank you for making the videos and they are very helpful! Do you know where we can put our comments to Lexus USA or even Japan? So, they can listen from us and hope to provide the update on the coming firmware. Do you have an email address or link can be shared? Thanks!
Does the 2021 Lexus LC 500 have 2 radiators ? I heard this before that when ur on the track n 1 radiator is over heating , the second radiator would kick in to keep the engine cool , is this true ?
This (and part 1) was extremely helpful! Thank you so much for taking the time to put this together. I did have one question (and I think the answer is no but wanted confirmation). It looks like there are no split screen options any longer? I would love to be able to show navigation, radio and one other function simultaneously on screen.
Hi Melissa: Me again, from the Great White North! I thought I had added another comment earlier this afternoon, but it’s not there, so I must have messed up somewhere! I am trying to disable ALL the so-called “Driver Assist” systems, and the one that is eluding me is the dreaded “Lane Departure Assist”. I asked “Hey Lexus” and “she” said, “Look in your Owners Manual”. I did, but that only shows ways to adjust the varying degrees of irritation, not shut it off altogether! When I look up “How to turn off lane assist in Lexus UX?” on the Internet, it shows a video by Wesley Chapel Lexus in Florida from 2021 for the IS 300 or IS 350 (the closest I could find). It says to push and hold the button on the steering column stalk with the symbol that looks like a car running off the road. But in the UX, there is no such button! Just the symbol of the car running off the road which indicates that the system is still active. Which, sadly, it is! Any hints? Cheers, Jim Kenzie
After listening to the 1 1/2 hour video on this car, I got to the point where i was talking to myself! That said this is an invaluable and very well explained video. Fortunately, i can download the whole video to my tablet and take it out into the car with me and listen again to each section i am not sure how to do. That makes this video even more valuable than it would be with just the video from start to end. I just bought a used 2021 ES250 which is loaded and i have been driving Lexus vehicles since 1996. My other 2015 RX350 is so less sophisticated than this newer car even though i know my way around computers reasonably well. It will be fun to teach myself how to take advantage of all the new features.
Excellent video. I'm a journalist in Canada testing a UX F Sport. Is there any way to keep the SatNav map in the North Up orientation? It was good enough for Christoper Columbus; it's good enough for me! I set it to North Up, but if I go away from the SatNav to Radio or whatever then go back to SatNav, it switches back to direction of travel. There are complaints about this on the various Lexus customer web sites, but no solution. Do you have one? Or at least an explanation? Thanks in advance! Jim K
@@jimkenzie1771 Hi Jim! That’s awesome that you are getting to test drive the UX F Sport! I wish I had a solution for you for the North Up compass view. Unfortunately we are waiting for an OTA from Lexus that will include that update. Right now it is programmed to change when you select it, but not to save or hold the customization. Thanks so much for checking in and for your kind words about my tutorial. I really appreciated your support!
