It is typically three turns (or three actions if a boss has more than one per turn). Equipping boon boost or boon boost EX extends the effects of debuffs. This run on Shiva uses boon boost EX from the Beelzebub essence. I haven't systematically checked whether boon boost increases the duration of ailments.
@@paulofsurrey4216 oh okay so here it will usually be cleared after the first action of the second turn by Shiva. Yeah anything that could extend that would basically fully lock down a boss even longer if you can seal them.

I didn’t get why people hated Lahmu when I first played the game. But I noticed Aogami saying there were demons who feigned kindness to prey on victims.
If you haven't yet got the fourth (true neutral) ending, this method should facilitate beating Shiva with a slightly lower level party, just prior to the main decision point.
I wasn't initially aware of that as I was determined to beat the game to at least one ending without reference to any online guides. I have adjusted the description to say this comes from a "many gods" playthrough. A video of the other version of Lucifer has now been uploaded.
