Great content! I appreciate your thoughtful and complete coverage. I had not ventured over to the Garden Walk but will definitely visit the next time we are in Anaheim. You wouldn’t realize there are so many interesting places to visit from the street. Thank you!
i had my interview today and the discovery science center has changed very much since 1999 i am still waiting on confirmation if i got the job or otherwise
I lived in Seattle from the time I was 18 until I was 34. I went up in the Space Needle exactly one time. But that time was the 4th of July. We got a dinner package where we would be sitting and eating dinner while the fireworks were going off. Of course, back then they didn't light them off of the Space Needle itself, just over Elliott Bay and over Lake Union
Wild Rivers may not be happening. It’s late into the season so making a video on it may not make sense. I have a few other videos that are taking priority on the schedule.
My daughter used to always go on the Royal Joust ride when she was younger, and I was always bummed not to be able to go on it with her, so I know how you feel! 🤣
Seriously! I am devastated I will never be able to ride that ride. It also sucks knowing that the weight capacity on the ride can easily hold a large adult. Peppa Pig park in LEGOLAND Florida has a similar ride and adults are able to ride it. Same mechanics and everything. Oh well 😭
Have you seen the lifeguards at the Legoland water park if they do something bad or things they're not supposed to be doing they blow the whistle on them also let me know when it's a Wild Rivers water park video👍📲
I would say it’s for the whole family from 5 to 85. As there are quite of bit of theatrics and stunt work involved. But pirate lore tends to be popular with the younger crowd. So I would agree that a 5 year old would absolutely love it
The large pirate ship spins around so that it locks into place and has a special exit in the front for the pirate actors to use during one of the fight scenes.
Let me know when is the Wild Rivers waterpark also have you ever heard of the Christ Cathedral formerly known as the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove you should do the video of it too 🤔🌊🎢⛪👍📲
That is extremely kind of you and truly appreciated! I do this not for the $ but to have a good time and bring fun and interesting content to my fans and followers. This gift will certainly go back to the channel and to buying some delicious treats for future journeys to record!
@@BigRedJourneys I totally get it, but know that all the food and drinks cost $ and you did such a great job of showing us the variety available. So many delicious choices!! ❤
I ended up watching this TWICE- once on my own and again with my family. I hope more people watch and share this great video. I had no idea how many great places there are in and around the Packing District. It’s someplace I definitely want to visit and your video covers it ALL! I really appreciate the time and attention you put into this. Thank you!
Twice?! Wow! Thank you!! Yes for being my first time here at the Packing District it was actually overwhelming and exciting with just how much they had to offer there!!
@@BigRedJourneys great! We will be attending that fair. This will be my first state fair as my state doesn’t have anything like this. My wife suggested we watch a San Diego fair to get a snap shot of what the OC fair could be. Really excited for your OC video to help prepare!
People are very kind to volunteeer to do this animal-themed parade to keep everyone happy. Growing up back then, I was so scared when seeing these animals in the wild.
Would you happen to know if cabanas have specials when you go in? I’m going on a Monday and 500 dollars is expensive lol. But I heard there cheaper at guest services
I cant tell for sure unfortunately as I have never personally rented a cabana myself. But I have head of a story in which someone was able to get a cabana at a discounted rate the day of due to the lack of occupancy or rentals for that day. What the amount of discount received I do not know. I will say that in my personal experiences the cabanas are not even 50% full even on the busiest of days as I think the price really pays a factor for people. Unless it was a holiday day like 4th of July or if I was planning a kids bday I wouldn’t buy a cabana unless it’s the day of to try and get a discount (if possible). But prices online are normally and should be the same as at the park. But like I said if the occupancy rate is lower for Monday, then you may get lucky for a cheaper cabana. It doesn’t hurt to ask.
@@jamiecameron-harley5001 same here! Atleast 7-8 years since my last visit before this one. And it truly is a fun science center. I pass it by all the time on the freeway on my trips to Disneyland or Knotts and finally said to myself “I need to stop!”
@@lanoodle1153 no the speakeasy bar is completely free to get into but ofcourse drinks (if you decide to have any) you do have to pay for. The only stipulation is depending on the day and time you want to go to the bar there may be a wait or you may need to come back at a later time with a reservation. My previous experiences have told me that usually you are good and don’t have to worry about that but that is the only thing to really be careful of. Also no one under 21 is allowed inside. Other than that make sure to have a great time!!
@@BigRedJourneys thank you!! i actually am wondering, do you happen to know much about this years passport to savings coupon book? would you say its worth it?
@@lanoodle1153 The book is usually the same year after year. Its $5 which is a nominal fee for what you could end up saving. The issue I have is that the coupons are usually Buy 1 Get 1, or 25% off 1 item, or require a minimum purchase amount before the coupon takes effect. If I go by myself it’s not worth it because ill end up having to buy 2 or 3 of the same item just to save $ and that’s just a waste of food. Also and this is more personal, most of the coupons were for food vendors that I didn’t care about. So I would say if you are going with a family or friends (group of 3 or more) then I would say the book is worth it because you can all share the food items you end up buying because of the coupon book.
Hello! I wanted to let you know that I appreciate your tour, I learned some new things as I haven’t gone in a while. I had a question and I was wondering when you filmed this tour, I’m wondering what day you went to attempt to anticipate and plan things with my family so we can visit on a Wednesday or Thursday . We were planning on getting the pay one price wristbands but we were also wondering if it is worth our buck for the fast pass lanyards. We love going on rides. Thanks again, and I hope you respond! :)
Well first of all thank you for the compliment! I truly appreciate it. I went on the opening day of the fair this year which was Wednesday June 12 and I was there the entire day from opening to close. A few personal and professional observations for you is the last 2 weeks of the fair (which we are currently in) are always busier than the first 2 weeks. That doesn’t mean its unbearable, just busier depending on the day and time you go. Wednesdays and Thursdays are always the best days to go to minimize crowds and ofcourse take advantage of the wristbands. If rides are important to you and your family then the fast pass may be worth it for you but I can’t really say because I don’t do rides at the fair and I do not know how much the fastpass is currently. I would say that the earlier in the day you go, the less people were on rides so wait times are lower, but the ride waits do get longer when you get to the later afternoons into the evenings when people start to get off work and the sun goes down so people can see all the neon. If you plan to go later in the day then the fast pass offer would probably be worth it to you. Whatever you decide to do just make sure to have lots of fun and enjoy yourselves!!
@@BigRedJourneysThanks so much for the information, we plan on getting just two fast passes that are each 40 dollars just for me and my sister but we plan to be there from the morning because of the fast pass which is only sold at the park for a limited quantity, so maybe it might be worthwhile since we will most likely be there all day. Thanks again for replying to me!
@@Lalalecheee the MTS trolley doesn’t go to The Fair but the North County Transit does. Catch a Coaster from the Downtown Santa Fe station take it to the Solana Beach Station then hop on a shuttle bus to the fair. They have a specific free fair bus from the Solana station to the fair. You can learn more here. www.sdfair.com/p/plan-your-visit/tickets-deals/fair-tripper
You are very welcome! YES and NO to the parking fee. Yes you pay for parking if you want to park and be closer to the fairgrounds. They have 3 options to choose from. Preferred/UpClose parking is $50 and in my opinion not worth it. General Parking is $20 but $15 if you buy online the day before you go. And you can end up parking near where the preferred parking is if you go to the fair when it opens. Then there’s Horsepark which is $10 and is about a 10 minute bus ride away (busses provided by the fair). The FREE parking is at Canyon Crest Academy which is about a 15-20 minute ride away from the fair.
Going to the county fair is a tradition that I have tried to keep for the past 30 years or more. It's the highlight of my year, pretty much. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to get over there this year, so I appreciate the tour. My favorite things are the flowers, the woodworking, the art and geology exhibits. I have never seen the black light minerals, so that was interesting. I got one of the geodes many many years ago, they were a lot cheaper back then. I like to get the Greek food. The best thing I've ever had at the fair was a chocolate and nut dipped frozen cheesecake dessert. That was pretty yummy. But that was the one time I went to the Orange County fair. The Orange County fair is different. It's a little bit more like an old-fashioned farm fair type set up.
Well I am glad to know that my video was able to provide you a little bit of enjoyment! Yes the OC FAIR is certainly different in that it sticks closer to the truer agricultural farming aspects of the region. I plan to go to it this year as well.
Considering the construction of the front of the ship, i wonder if they just went head first into the burg, that they would have stayed afloat. Any feedback?
Yes, many historians and experts agree that the way she was designed and how she can float with up to 4 bulkheads flooded (not 5) then a front on impact would have been a better alternative because her bow which had very thick steel, thicker than the sides of her port or starbard sids, would have taken more of the impact like a car bumper and maybe one or two compartments would flood which would have given Titanic plenty of mobility to still make it to New York just at a slower speed. Also bows of large vessels back then were designed with a frontal collision in mind as that was the more "common" way a collision would occur if any so ship designers placed heavy importance on a sturdy bow and stern sections.
The gates were opened the third class weren't familiar with the other spaces on the ship and the first class cannot go where ever they want they have areas like the 2nd and 3rd classes no titanic from construction was never meant to be the fastest ship in the world it was just meant to be the biggest and comfortable for all
