This is terrifying, when will we have politicians who will actually stop this madness and have an honest conversation? The time for 'being nice' is over, our politicians are cowards and they need to act. Far right thugs will become more active precisely because there is zero action from our politicians to deal with people who clearly hate our culture, [thousands of them]. About 15m soldiers died in ww2 across the world . In the same period more than 15m civilians were killed in British occupied India. Overall the British occupation of India left 100m + people dead, 45 trillion dollars in stolen wealth. The catholic church became the second largest owner of land as a result of the British occupation. Indians have to go to British museums and pay to look at their own history. You would never see Germans trying to whitewash their history on television like this.

I'm a huge fan of Mr. Murray and I agree with him on every issue, but this conversation is nothing but gaslighting! I LIVE IN BENGAL, SO I KNOW WHAT REALLY HAPPENED as some of the affected people were still alive until a few years ago! The famine was a combination of three main factors namely, war-time disruptions, natural disasters, and vile & cruel colonial policies. Bengal was (and still is) the biggest producer of rice in India and it was our state that fed the entire British Indian Army, the Allied Forces in Southeast Asia, and certain Allied Forces in Europe. We had more than enough stockpile from before to feed us for years. This could be corroborated by records of the British Indian Army's Quartermaster General's Department in 1944 (a year before the war ended). SO, ALL THE RICE THAT WAS NEEDED TO ALLEVIATE THE CRISIS, WAS PRESENT RIGHT HERE! It was OUR food, and it was munched upon by foreigners who had no claim to it. Yes, there was a severe flood in 1942, but if food could have been sent to Europe, it certainly could've been sent to the people who sowed the seeds. I know that sons are not responsible for their father's sins, but the fact that astonishes me is that some British people just won't own up and admit to the fact that some of their ancestors were pure evil.
there’s a much larger more relevant theme in all these discussions: human beings destroy themselves, be it with diet, lifestyle, or yes, drugs. It is not a problem, it is a far reaching human condition. It is not a problem’ you can ‘solve’. It is part of what it is to be a human.

I’m in the military and I can understand that a lot of young people, even the based ones, do not want to serve in defence of a West that has lost its ways and hates itself. I struggle with this regularly if I’m being honest. Like what must all those young men getting slaughtered in Ukraine think about the women of their generation being given a free free pass (after we’ve been lectured about gender equality for the past few decades) and riding the Tinder carousel abroad? That’s not very inspiring, is it?
