Hey! We have just completed the trip. We are still estimating the cost but roughly around 140K Inr for both. We did this trip from Bangkok.. JR pass would depend on your itinerary. Buy it if you are going to use Shinkansen more!
If I knew you were going to Harry Potter section in Universal Studios, I would have asked you to bring broom stick for my mom. The one she flies on, is not left with many miles on it.

two questions - 1. kids - what age, according to you, would be recommended 2. Would you recommend staying there if yes which hotel would u recommend 3.if we choose to express in pass do we save time if yes what is the cost
Hi Vipul, Kids all age are welcome inside but the rides have age limit so you can see that before the entry gate of the ride. I'm not sure which is the best one but all the hotels are high-end like Hyatt and HolidayInn so you would not be disappointed. The express pass is for each studio which also varies so you can check the prices on Universal studios japan app, yes it saves you time. Have fun!
