@@alternateaquatics it was just so cool to watch but after every step I'd see a mess of silicone and foam and think to myself "there's no way they can make that look good" and then you add some moss and plants around it and I'm left thinking "Holy smokes this person is actually a genius and that looks amazing" 😅
You absolutely gotta get the wet moss mix from frogdaddy.com as far as plants goes it all depends on the size of your set up. I would get them from the same website. The trimmings I got always survived. Also they have them categorized with photos and descriptions so you’ll be able to find the perfect fit for yours! Good luck keep me posted I’d love to hear how it goes for ya! Thanks for checking out the video :)
Nice video! I was wondering how long your supposed to leave your light on for. Does it effect the frogs in any way or is it just for the plants (if it’s for the plants I imagine the time varies depending on what plants your using)
I just turn the lights on in the morning and shut them off at night. There’s tons of areas in the tank that are super dark especially on the bottom so if the frogs don’t like the light they can def just go hide. Thanks for the comment!
@@alternateaquatics thanks for the reply. Another question is do you have problems with algae in the water part (also would that affect the frogs) bc I know if I leave the light on my fish tanks on that long I will have big problems (again this is a issue in tanks bc it’s gets everywhere and can kill plants but in this case not sure if it even matters)
I noticed there was algae but it took a long time to build up then I just put some common aquarium snails in there and they took care of that problem for me
Yup they need to have some protein in their diet. Just make sure it’s high quality grain free cat food and don’t over do it. You can also give them worms, dried crickets etc I catch mine eating the pillbugs and slugs living in their enclosure when they get the opportunity
