This channel is dedicated to drum covers of songs that I grew up listening to and learned how to drum with. Through my drumming journey, I've spent thousands of hours listening and practicing. I would steal my Father's Zune (remember that discontinued Microsoft product?) and wear out the rewind button as I tried to replicate a particular drum fill from a song that had recently captured my fascination. This page is meant to demonstrate the fruits of my labor. Here you will find the covers of songs that have captured my heart coupled with new songs that I have the pleasure of being acquainted with, thereby fostering a lifelong relationship in the process.
Love this song, the short to this video was recommended and I couldn’t just watch it without searching for the full vid. You nailed it, I’ve often thought that sustaining this beat is almost impossible, at least without massive amounts of coke lol. No but seriously, impressive job, you’re very good.
I think the take is pretty close to perfect. The only problem is I accidentally had the snare mic turned down on my interface so you can’t hear the ghost notes very clean. Listen to the original and cross reference with my take though! I do not have notation unfortunately:/.
Hands down one of my fave covers of all time of this song. Trust me, I've seen 100s! You make it look effortless giving us old drummers who are still learning, a little bit of hope. 😊Keep it up kid!!Thank you for sharing your gift! ❤
I'm a drum teacher and it is nice to hear someone playing this correctly. Hardly anyone seems to get that you play 8th notes on both the hi hat and the snare. Most people just put the snare on 2 & 4. Thank you for educating other drummers about this song.
Haha! You were right though in your comment on the Mitch Mitchell cover. That was one of my first videos. I was still trying to figure out how to do them. Still am. But yeah…I can do Keith lol. Next cover will be Bargain by The Who!
@@collincrosedrums Check out Frank Zappa, if you havent already. Over-nite sensation and One Size Fits All will blow your mind as a drummer. Chester Thompson and Ralph Humphrey are animals!! You already follow some sick drummers though! Keep it up man, I'm a fan!
Sick man!! Not bad at all. Only thing I gotta say is loosen up man! You're REAL close. But if you loosen up a bit, you'll get all those hits. Cant complain though. Lets see how you do on an old Who song. You got Mitch, you got Bonham, can you do Keith?? Keep it up though, you for sure got it!
Dude, I’m a guitar player that bought a drum set a few months ago thinking it would be easy. Obviously I was wrong. I sat down and after rearranging my set up was playing along with you for the beginning which is more than I’ve ever done before. Thanks for showing me how to do this.
You killed it again!!! I don't really care for the pumpkins but I LOVE Jimmy Chamberlains drumming. I jam on a lot of their tunes just cuz his drumming is so much fun to play. I have a request for ya! A really fun Chamberlain song to play is "GEEK USA" I'd love to see what you would do with it, keep up the awesome work!
Thank you Chip! I appreciate it. I love Chamberlain’s style too. Very influential. I’ve got quite a few projects in the Queue at the moment but you are right! It’s a great song 🤤
@@collincrosedrums that was pretty impressive! I'm a huge zeppelin fan, and kinda a music snob, so highest praise! I'm not a drummer though lol I only play with one kickass drummer. I would like to promote our band, but my compliments would seem...not genuine. We just have a tough time with the RU-vid game. Any advice?
@@isaacmcilvenna6441 well, I appreciate the compliment! I work hard to try and replicate the original track as close as possible. In regards to your question, I really don’t know. I’m sorry! I struggle too. I think it’s just a matter of being consistent with the type of content you are trying to show people!
