Looks great, and with a brighter bulb installed that’s all the light you need. ru-vid.comUgkxWF88GpljEn-0o34vtLFazEQ5h5Q33SjU As far as ease of installation- this was my first ceiling fan and it took about 3 hours because I had no idea what I was doing and also it’s helpful to have a second set of hands and a magnetic drill bit. Works great.
*100% best **Generater.Systems** I have used. A test for hurricane prep here in Louisiana: three AC units, 5000, 5000 & 8000, 3 fridges, 2 device power setups, 4 flat screens....AND I had 40% of the power meter to spare.*
*Love it! Keeps the room very **Fastly.Cool** . The manual states it comes with a year warranty and 5 year part replacement. The compressor makes the typical sound...small price to pay for AC.*
I wonder why that generator weights about 30lbs more than the WEN GN400i open frame inverter generator. The engines are slightly different, since the manuals say they take different oil capacities, but they are both rated at 212cc. They have very similar fuel economy ratings too, but the one you have is slightly better on fuel and has a half gallon larger tank. The GN400i lacks the electric start and wheel kit, but it costs a lot less too. I'm thinking I may buy the GN400i since I don't need that much power very often, and I carry a tiny old 500-watt (not a typo) Yamaha generator that I run most of the time for extra power beyond 400W (12V) of solar on my RV. It would be nice to have a generator that can run my A/C if heat sneaks up on me. At $400 for the GN400i vs $650 for the 56380i direct from WEN (on sale as of this post) I figure it suits my needs and budget better. Maybe I could get by with a 2000-2300 watt generator just for AC. I could shut it off for a few minutes if I want to run the microwave or something else large like that.
Installed the EasyStart from Micro Air on my 13,500 rooftop with that the 56380i has no problem running my A/C and microwave simultaneously since the A/C only pulls 13 amp at start and 9 running.
This generator arrived two days ago straight fro Wen Products. They shipped the package promptly and it arrived in just a few days (here in Florida). The box was delivered by FedEx; it looked like it was barely able to hold the generator, with a bottom that was bulging. The generator looks fine, however, with no visible wear or damage. It is much heavier than I was expecting, but I think it will work quite well for outages after a hurricane! I haven't started it up yet, but am learning all about it. You mentioned a magnetic dip stick--can you provide a link for that item?
Casper, good you are taking all the precautions, as this device **might^^ have been manufactured with less emphasis on tolerances, and frequent oil changes and magnetic dip would be necessary to promote longevity. What about a gas filter? Any info on that, either a micro screened cup that fits in the has tank fill hole, or an inline filter? Thank you for the clip.
The filler opening has a micro screen and all my gas cans do also. Before I purchased the WEN I looked at the Predator 3500 was not pleased with the construction. I have gone through 4 oil changes since break in and only found medal shavings on the initial oil change.
@@GrumpyCasper Casper, I found the mounting bolts missing, which by that time, had added to a negative experience. Permit me to share my experience with you, as it might help yourself and your viewers in the future. It starts off with good news, that Wednesday, the Wen arrived early at Home Depot, ready for pick up. The first signs of trouble, was when the box was wheeled to the pick up location. The box looked like it had been opened and taped back shut not once, but numerous times. All four sides were dirty, as if it laid on its sides - despite the warnings on the box to keep one side up only. A couple side notes, and this involves only my local HD: the associate who helped me neither gave me a receipt, nor checked my ID. And when he helped me load it into my vehicle, he insisted on putting it on its side, despite my showing him the warning arrow "This side up." Anyways, long story short, the generator would not start. Battery connected, gas put in along with oil, and it would spin, but not give a single burp or anything signifying combustion. Okay, not too good, I thought. Contacted the help desk at Wen, who walked me through the taking off of the side panel, and locating the culprit: the hard plastic spark plug boot was broken off, leaving the spark plug wire separated from the plug. Wen, in all respect to them, went ahead and put a new boot in the mail, which should arrive next week. However, after showing my brother and sisters the photos, they all said it would be better to return it. So the next morning, when I woke to go before the Lord, He said to order from the Wen site itself. So, Casper, the old Wen was taken back to HD yesterday, a new Wen should arrive from Wen in a week, and the savings is fairly substantial: $815 at HD, versus $744 (both before taxes). So there you have it. The good and the bad, the rain and the sunshine, both. Thank you for hearing me out.
@@loft4me Sorry to hear of your misfortune but it sounds like you might not have been the first purchaser of that unit. I purchased mine directly from the Manufacturer and delivered by Fedex. I the past if a box looks questionable I have made the driver wait until I have inspected the content with only a couple of items that I refused delivery on. Did you order the magnetic dip stick? if not I strongly suggest you do.
The decibel reading right at the unit seems high, in light of the fact that you do not have to raise your voice even a little, to speak over the noise of the generator.
These reading where taken 100 ft from a major road and 3oo ft from a rail road yard so I would be hard pressed to find a few quiet times in the 40 db range or less.
This is being sold at Home Depot, and it caught my attention in the advertisement with the words "super quiet" and "inverter." Two of these are less expensive than the one, Honda EU3000is that I am currently considering. Casper, have you or any of your viewers have an assessment to this generator in terms of output, reliability, and as an alternate to the Honda? Two of these for less than the price of one Honda 3000 is generating appeal.
No I have not, however using a splitter for feeding my 50 amp trailer service entrance (all 110) the unit rarely comes out of the ECO mode since I added the Micro_Air Easystart for the 13,5 A/C unit. Only wish it had a 50/220 amp plug like my Duromax
Would be so helpful if you could have pointed the camera towards the generator, to let us see the distance away, and get an on site feel of the effectiveness of the test.
In order to get a full charge, higher voltage than 12v is generally needed. The WEN does not come with a "Battery Charging Cable" better off using a 120 volt battery charger / maintainer I use NOCO chargers. Need to mention that many Generators do not charge the onboard battery when running, the MFG either provides a 120v charger or jumper for charging. My Generac is that way.
I just purchased one and I will tell you it is as quiet as the Predator 3500 from Harbor Freight and the equivalent Powerhouse from Northern tool. The WEN has the advantage of a pull handle, fuel shutoff, and a fuel gauge you can see from your RV. Runs a 15000BTU roof air and microwave together. No need for an adapter plug for an RV either. Absolutely great generator for the price. Equal to Honda and Yamaha 3000w generators for much less than half the price.
Do you know anyone who has a Harbor Freight Predator or Northern Tool Powerhouse 3500 generator? I have heard them run and they are quiet. Wondering if the WEN is as quiet? Thanks in advance!

I just purchased this generator and should have it in a few days. Could you possibly provide the part number and/or source for the 30amp + 15amp adapter you are using in the video? Thanks!
On Amazon "Camco Heavy Duty PowerGrip Maximizer 45 AMP Adapter - Combines Power from 15 and 30 AMP Outlets to Generate 45 AMPs Into Your RV or Camper (55025)" $36.21 For the 36380i WEN Generator the total output is only 3800 watt however if the RV has a 50 amp connection it will power both legs so put the heavier load on the 30 amp side.
Predator is crap buddy. Here you talking about something that cpuld be similar to honda eu2200i but a bit more powerful. I would buy 2 hi da eu2200i in parallel but for the price this is perfect and good.
*Easy to install! We did it ourselves. It took about an hour. Fan works great.>>>**nub.best/n129** Does hang down further than I thought (about 18 inches). But looks very sleek.*
Today August 14, 2018, we bought Harbor Breeze Hydra Ceiling Fan Model #41371 70”. We have a 9’ ceiling and box brings 6” rod which is too close to the ceiling and will affect the airflow. But we knew that so we bought a 12” rod separately to allow better air flow. Air flow works great for our space. However, there is a delayed start and the fan begins to go back n forth before it actually starts which is VERY annoying. Almost like a glitch. This video confirmed ours wasn’t broken its just how its made. So THANK YOU for making this video!!! In the middle of the night it began making a noise (metal on metal scraping). We brought the entire thing down n it comes from inside the motor. Returning it ASAP!!! OVERAL: 👍🏼Good Airflow (with longer rod sold separate) 👎🏼Cant use without remote 👎🏼Weird/Scary delayed startup 👎🏼Scraping noise
It has now been almost three years since I installed this Camera System on my Spyder and the only issue was with the original Battery, had to replace it last year.
Mine when the card was full it stopped recording I was using a Samsung 64 GB card and it took app 4 weeks of shorts trips to find out that the card was full.I contacted the Ebay seller who told me that it can only be two things that could cause the problem one was a faulty card the second was if I had the motion detector on wich I did not have on anyway. So I installed a 32GB Samsung card both cards were formatted and both cards were new. Again after a few weeks the same thing happened again so I contacted Pay pal and I received a full refund.I then bought a Blackvue DR650S-2CH I have had this new camera for 4 weeks now and it is brilliant even though I am using a 16 GB card. Both cards were class 10.
Fans should be used in reverse during winter months. This takes the warm off from the ceiling and circulates it back to floor level. You don't want to blow air across your skin during winter.
