Some of Karen Black’s clothes are similar to what stylish young women were wearing to clubs around 1974/75 at the early disco age. There was a real retro look to fashion at the time; the longer skirts looked better for dancing and mini skirts seemed dated. Of course in 1975 the period portrayed in this movie was only 37 years before - not long enough to be “old” but young enough to be “vintage.”
Happen on to this movie never saw it before it is a great movie until as plain as day a black woman pop up like a big laugh, Just another racist scene Not a black face in the crowd Why have her there? and sing that song. "Brotherhood"
Ok, This question is for the women out there.....When Bo turns and locks eyes with Dudley the first time?... Please give me you're opinion on what that weighted stare of hers is implying thru body language?... Because being a male myself, It seemed more than just a Hello was being communicated. But I don't know if that's true, or I'm projecting it...hence, why I would like a woman's thoughts on this.
I saw this film in the early 1960's when I was an engineering student in the UK and decided I must go to see Africa. By a stroke of good luck I was posted to Kenya in 1973 supervising the construction of a highway. It was one big holiday with weekend safaris to the game parks and annual holiday in the Mombasa coast !
学生の頃、新宿の3本立ての名画座で観ました。いつも映画を観終わって外に出るともう夜になっていて時間の経つのがもったいなかったですが、館内にいる時は素晴らしい世界の中にいたことを実感していました。 Carson McCullers "the heart is a lonely hunter"は今でも忘れられないとても素晴らしい作品でした。
yep, Joe's got the training wheels out on that last turn....was riding when this came out... funny stuff, it ran with Hells Angels 69...riding to the drive in and yellin at the screen
