Quad amplifier good match with quad speakers, also u can drive with nad, creek, cyrus, exposure amplifier with this quad speakers. They drive very well.
I have 77 11 L. But i am not satisfied this speakers. Good vocal but no bass... Who is the best matching amplifier. I am using marrantz pm 6007. Any suggestions from upgarade to another amplifier?
Depends on your liking to a large extent, but your speakers are good. Your bottleneck is the amplifier which is grossly underpowered and it is failing to get the speakers out of sleep, bass production requires most amount of power. You must get either some class A amplifier or in class AB category at least something with 70 watts per channel (like PM 8006) to get to talking at least, although best would be 100+ watts per channel amplifiers

Been a while but I`ve now posted a track from my system. Added the audio from Sony HX9V to a still picture as exposure difference shooting video towards window was too much. Go to RU-vid title..Arcam Solo Mini / Arcam rDAC / Mordaunt Short Aviano 6 Hope you enjoy..Audio was as good as I could get it due to compression
@pupupuchi28 .....Hopefully can borrow a Sony HX9 from a friend. Never posted on RU-vid before but will have a go...Really enjoy viewing the Hi-Fi postings
@andwestuk Thanks. This one is better. BTW I didn't judge the speaker based on this video nor I do based on any video on youtube. It was just an observation. Happy listening! Why don't you post a video of your set up playing something. Should be interesting to listen :-)
@pupupuchi28 ....Viewed the Yamaha vid...There are some differences. First it seems the Yamaha`s are playing much louder and also this section at 0.16 was recorded much closer to the speakers....That effect can be picked up through headphones and seen visually at 0.14 in this vid but the volume even at max is well down on the Yamaha vid and much further back so comparisons are difficult...All I can say is played at home this section is easily picked out on the Aviano`s
@haisaikat ...To notice any real change you would really need to be using an external microphone on an DSLR or camcorder. What are you actuallly using ?....You are absolutely right about getting the best from these with a dedicated 2 channel amp...36 hours, facing each other 10cm apart with one speaker wired out of phase is the manual recommendation for running in....They are a fabulous set of speakers and I`m over the moon with mine....
@pupupuchi28 .....Would you believe it.This was posted yesterday...Hope this helps...Go to RU-vid title....My Mordaunt short aviano 6 playing bass i love you......Try and listen to these clips through headphones if you`re not already
@pupupuchi28 ....Well, of course this is`nt really the way to listen to and judge speakers as nearly all would be done with poor quality built in microphones but I can tell you that the bass these produce is deep, tight and agile. If its in the recording these will bring it out...They are amazingly clear and transparent to for big floorstanders. I`ve played " Bass I Love You " through these and the bass you describe is there rumbling away...It does`nt come across well here unfortunately
@andwestuk I wasn't talking about displacement of diaphram per se, but the sound getting produced. Ideally the sound should have been produced even without the movement of the diaphram, provided the speakers reach that low, flat. Typically that sounds like a Harley fatboy at low speed. I will try to upload a video to elaborate it. Otherwise certainly these are lovely speakers.
