John Madden said, "Ray Rhodes has this team pointed in the right direction". In 1996, 10-6; 1997; 6-9-1 and his last year, 3-13. That's what I call the RIGHT direction.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Brett Favre and his wife Deanna.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Learning that you have been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease has to be horrific to deal with. Again I pray and hope that Brett and Deanna will be okay throughout this situation. God Bless them both.
Everybody reminisce about John Madden and Pat Summeral how they were the best back in the day but to me this was my fav announcers team Dick Enberg and Paul McGuire.
Glanville and the entire Atlanta falcon organization should’ve been fine for that cheesy ass fucking helmet that they had made up to look like the most awesome helmet besides the Chargers helmet and logo and uniforms. Washington had the best UNI’S from when the feathers on the logo got straightened out because they were curved and I believe they were like that in the rematch with Miami and Super Bowl 17 following that year the feathers were straightened out so from 83 until the stupid worthless unreasonable no sense waste of time rebrand we had the best UNI’S in the game !
Seeing these old games is a bittersweet treat. I spent so many Sundays in the 1970s and 80s watching football (mostly the Lions) on Sundays with my Dad and my brother and other friends and relatives. Now I hardly ever watch, because my Dad is gone, my brother lives five states away, and my friends have scattered. Sports doesn't mean as much without the ones you love there to enjoy it with you.
The cornerback play in the 90's was so much better than today. You had a bunch of very good cornerbacks and safeties during that time. Now you have a couple.

The Metrodome was a horrible place to watch a game, the lighting, the concrete prison concourse which were too narrow, then you had to walk out a wind tunnel when leaving....definitely don't miss that dump
1:54:16 - as a lifelong Clevelander old enough to remember when Modell moved the team, I cannot curse loud enough, or cry long enough, when I see this. THIS!!!! We had Bill frickin Belichick as our head coach and Nick friggin Saban as our defensive coordinator. You know who else was on our coaching staff that year? Kirk Ferentz was defensive line coach. Modell f'ed Cleveland so bad moving the franchise and destroying what Bill was building, we will never forgive him. I know we have the Browns back and that's great, but seriously...... just pause the video at that time frame and think about it. Even if you've never been a Browns fan, you understand what I'm saying.
You got to scratch your head and wonder why the Oakland Raiders would hire Norv Turner. This poor bungling misfit could never bring the Chargers to the Super Bowl even though they were Super Bowl through and through as a team
