Good stuff man! Went out to the susky today and it was windy as hell. Tried top water, chatterbaits, spinners, crankbaits, etc. couldn’t catch anything. Packed it up after about 2 hours not even. I’ll try again tomorrow!
Yeah I went out yesterday evening after work for a few hours. The bite definitely slowed down a bit. I managed to catch 5 on tubes and Ned rigs. We had 2 nice ones get off also. I’ll give it another try tomorrow. Thanks for checking out my channel!
Really nice Musky. Got fortunate he didn't saw that leader!! Like your boat I had an older Roughneck years back with 90/65 Jet I fish the Deleware up north of you in PA here Lehigh Valley Area.
Thanks! Yeah I had another musky a week later cut through my leader while I was bass fishing. Guess I should get the musky rod out. I never get a musky bite on that rod though! lol
@@riverrat92 Lol the same happens to me bro! We use live trout for Stripers up here at times for bait The Musky will hit them at times get cut off. I upside leader or go steel the Stripers wont hit Lol So we gotta take chances I guess
I fished the Ontario lakes for some time in the 80s and 90s. Always looking to catch a Musky. Caught two around 42 inch on 6-8 lb test line. What a fish. Each broke the surface in the fight. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Wow!! Good Old Sandy Hook. Went night fishing there with my Pops when I was 12 or so. Slept in the station wagon and cooked breakfast, bacon and eggs in the am. Caught 2 bass and Dad caught 0. Oh Well. I was lucky that day. The bass hit a 2 oz striper swiper, blue/white with sparkles. Not even 20' past the drop-off. Great memory from the Hook. There used to be a Stewarts Root Beer burger joint over there I think up on 35? That was 50 years ago. LOL
Would you know where and which part of the beach you can fish? All I know about sandy hook is the crowded nude beach part lmfao. Wanting to go fish this weekend with friends though and was hoping to find someone who knew where we can fish, maybe directions too?

The parking areas are labeled with letters. I had luck at parking area c. The beaches are multi use beaches.

Thanks for the response. Going from a 146 sea nymph with a 25 prop to the ambush should open up a bunch more river for me. Gonna look at selling the 25hp merc and the 60/40 to get a bigger jet in the spring.
It definitely helps. Without the pods when I first installed the 65 jet if I stood on back of boat the water line would be within inches of the top of transom. With the pods 2 adults can sit or stand on pods and water is only alittle more that half way up. They definitely help! I’m happy I installed them.
I think you probably got some fresh pinstripes on the Bronco during that run! Wear them like a badge of honor! When I went back to my dealer for some regular maintenance, my salesperson was so delighted that I had already got the truck out in the woods in the first month. She said you wouldn't believe how many folks get off road packaged vehicles who won't even drive them on gravel for fear of getting the paint chipped. I have some pretty bold Mickey Thompson tires that people often comment on. I always reply, "There's not just for looks"! I'll look forward to some more videos here. I wish I would have done a video of my last crazy trail, Sugar Camp. That was a wild one!
It definitely helped out a lot I went from a 40hp jet to a 65hp and the boat was floating a lot lower into the water in the back. It helped a lot with pods. They also help get on plane quicker and make a great way to get in and out boat while swimming.
