Hey hun, the bee hive cornrows were just to try something different, it’s 2 months old now so I end up covering it with head wraps anyways. I always recommend braids with your natural hair in my opinion that is one of the best protective hairstyles especially for length and moisture retention 🌸
Which ever style you choose…it’s eventually going to start looking old and you’ll want to cover it - this is where you’ll have to choose between head wraps or wigs in any style. I hope I answered your question

Kinky hair can be protein sensitive and coconut oil can have too much protein that ends up drying the hair. I always recommend using only a little bit of coconut oil in your sealant oil mixture or even better to include it in your deep conditioner. In conclusion use other oils to lock in the moisture when moisturising your hair like olive oil and castor oil. Coconut oil is better used in treatments 💕

Coconut oil never worked for me, hair always felt dry but I do love castor oil alot😊 I haven’t tried olive oil though so I might get into that. What brand would you recommend?
Coconut oil works the best when you add it to a treatment / deep conditioner, especially if you have similar hair to mine - I also used to think it was drying. It doesn’t work the best when moisturising. Olive oil is amazing especially if you mix it with all your other favs. I don’t have a specific brand to recommend as long as it’s extra virgin olive oil. 💗💕
So far it’s still looking good because I’m not neglecting it. To a certain extent kinky hair will always lock and shrink up but how you treat the hair determines how much it will lock up. No matter how much my hair can lock up it can always be detangled, it’s just that simple. Either way the proof is in the pudding- we’ll see what it looks like when I take the cornrows out

2 months minimum if you have mini braids or cornrows. Twist may work depending on your hair texture n (if you shampoo during the installation. (Some say shampooing causes webbing n tangles of double strand twists. ) However long protective style is a wonderful prosperous n you gain lots of length retention I wear head wraps which make me feel n look good during the fuzzy long protective styling I keep my hair moisturizer i spritz my hair with water every day n place a good amount of oil on my roots hair shaft n ends I have done 2 months now I am head towards 3 months my daughters have done 4 months in protective style n the length retention is phenomenal I prepoo every 14-21 days n cleanse my hair with diluted apple cider vinegar. It leaves my hair so slow n clean. N my scalp is pH balance n cleansed 💚💜💚💜💚💜💚💜💚
