When oil filter is changed, do you need to remove the left side bar? I am just asking because the front bolts of the plastic cover fixes the left bar too. Oil filter cannot be removed if the plastic cover is not removed.

I actually don’t know. It is in for a service in January and I guess I shall find out. But mechanics are pretty used to dealing with that kind of thing. It did cross my mind at the time. I went ahead anyway as I wanted somewhere to fit spots. 👍
@MotoGoato
@MotoGoato 14 часов назад
That was one of the first things I did with my NT as I like wearing chunky adventure style boots, they never fit under the stock set gear lever height on road bikes. Also drop the rear brake lever down a fair bit too, I like to ride with the rear brake covered at slow speeds so I can balance things with a touch of brake drag when needed - dropping the lever down half inch or so makes this so much more comfortable 😊

Took one on a test run a few months ago , what struck me about the bike was its great wind protection , the smooth easy power, and above all the low seat height 820mm and the incredible overall balance of the bike . They aren’t big sellers here in Australia , but if I had the $22000 AUD , would seriously consider this beast , love the black , get black , made it a complete stealth NT😊 But make sure you wear a fluro jacket , you need some colour for the cage buffoons ,just saw your closing snaps , the bike looks beautiful . Do you think you could somehow blacken the silver exhaust running at the bottom ? Reckon if that was blackened , the whole stealth mean Batman look would complete . Are you going to put some spotlights on the front bar ? Black Matt finish ones with black lens covers ? Smoked windscreen ? Black tail pipe ? But seriously wear a fluro wet weather jacket when going through towns , I was nearly collected on my Tri colour Transalp , with the mandatory running lights on , and the Honda always on front indicators . Doing 50 km per hour , an older lady on my right at a side road at an intersection, waited until I was twenty metres from her and then quickly pulled out 😮 I practice safe emergency braking every ride , had the front brake covered with two fingers , managed to avoid going over the side of her sedan bonnet and swerved past the front grill , only because she thank God braked to a standstill.😊 The point is I had just put on my black wet weather gear , I have a black helmet . I was so angry at nearly been put into hospital and my newish Transalp being damaged badly , but later that day told myself I was wearing all black on a cloudy day. Your bike is all black , but I don’t think that makes such a difference to visibility if we have bright helmets and clothing . I am going to get a green fluro jacket and put it on regularly on commutes, I know it’s uncool but after yesterday I just want to be seen by little old ladies, drug crazed moms and dads , ect ect. Love stealth bikes though , but firmly believe we see the rider not the bike, a too light bike can blend in with sunshine also ,but the helmet and jacket need some colour as that’s what is highest , our bodies stick up out of the bike . Sorry for the rambling just woke me up yesterday.
@CodgerBiker
@CodgerBiker 4 дня назад
Might possibly be able to get a black link pipe. One thing, this bike probably due to all the fairing, wind protection and big engine gives off heat. Not sure it would be my choice in Aus' just because of that. In UK, usually bloody freezing, not a problem. Thanks for comments, much appreciated 👍👍

I have a loft full of screens that I bought thinking they’d be better and never getting it right. Unfortunately I’m a bit tall and tend to sit high in the seat, saying that the screens that have been worst have been the slightly narrower ones where the air comes from each side and seems to catch each side of my helmet.

You are correct. They are a complication. But useful sometimes. Idea is they are transferable across devices. But Google maps does not support it directly. And they might not always work. But are useful if you want to repeat a route, or share it with others. E.g. The TT route gpx file kept me on track, the course is over 30 miles long. 👍

😂 You'd be surprised. I can get lost in my shed. But you get the idea. Gpx is supposed to be transferable across different devices. E.g. NC500 or Wales 360 or any route to share with mates who have different devices. The one I used was recorded on my TomTom 550 a few years back. But it works on the Moto2. Jealous of your location, that's my dream 👍👍
@CalmBiker
@CalmBiker 15 дней назад
Such a shame that it doesn't get you back to the route. I hit a closed road a few weeks back in the middle of nowhere and it was a complex ten mile ride to get back on route. I would have been lost without Calimoto (which I want to replace ideally because that has many problems too). Can you plan a route via an app or online to get that kind of functionality, rather than using GPX?
@CodgerBiker

You can plan a route on the app, you don’t need to use a GPX. I just wanted to try it. There is also, so DrJ just told me, a PC Beta version. Only by dumb luck I wasn't killed, but I did have to have my left leg bones at the knee screwed back together. I have found, and confirmed with Beeline, that it doesn’t reroute on imported .gpx routes. Once you get back on the route it carries on directing you. It doesn’t try to send you back to the start but gives the rough direction to get back on route.
@CodgerBiker
@CodgerBiker 16 дней назад
Unfortunately that was not the case here. I was about 500m from the gpx route. But it kept pointing to the start, 4 miles away. Next time I will ride onto the route, somewhere along it, and see if it picks it up. There were no Way Points, just start/finish. However, I'm happy with its 'Places' function. 👍

@@CodgerBiker How odd, definitely did on mine last I tried, maybe a software update has broken that bit. The only thing that annoys me is that you can’t save a recorded ride. I’ve just bought one ( 2024) it’s light and sure footed in the corners, but off road and going slow it’s gutless up to 4,000 revs, in fact you have to rev its balls off when you try to pull away from the lights, if a smaller gearbox sprocket and a re-map doesn’t get me any lower down power I will sell it. I should have found a green lane when I test rode it

1:03 if Honda were listening they'd give us the CRF 450 Rally we've been screaming for.

True. They are glacial slow in releasing things the market wants. 🙁
