Money Done Right is a RU-vid channel and blog devoted to reviewing financial products and apps and sharing top, expertly-created information about personal finance, making money, saving money, credit, and taxes.
Great app for thrifty shoppers. We shop Kroger Manager specials and often find items that cost less than the Ibotta rebate so we get a free item and make a profit. Keep in mind you can gather receipts from friends/family and "found" receipts that get left behind in carts. We're always getting rebates on found receipts so that's getting money without spending money. Also, shopping online or for club pick-up from Sams Club through the Ibotta app will also get you a rebate.
I need to learn this since I be adding money in interest. Next year Do I have to send the state taxes since I live in Texas since there is no state taxes
FETCH is way better no confusing steps and for every receipt is .25 and at times you get big bonus when you scan a receipt it very easy to cash out and redeem points it’s easy and fun
App was great until they changed the rewards and made it impossible for me to redeem my points. I deleted it last year after having it for 5 years. Had $75 worth of points and can't even redeem them.
Never EVER use an app to track driving behavior. This info will and has been used to hike peoples insurance rates for utter nonsense and the info becomes part of a permanent database sold to everyone to evaluate your "worthiness" including access to credit and renting eligibility. This is part and parcel of social credit score rating. If you happen to live under a rock and have no idea what that is or the problems with it, I highly recommend checking it out.
I have the bank account, I have a savings account. Is the January deadline applicable to me? I only received less than 5 dollars interest income. Can I file this form myself? Or will my bank file it?
Must you choose items ahead of time in the app in advance? Is there a way to just scan a store-linked barcode when checking out just in case perhaps you happened to unknowingly put an item in your cart for which there was an offer? Also, if you went shopping without preselecting and get home and see there was an offer for an item you already bought can you can the receipt and get credit?
Do you scan barcode before you or cashier starts scanning items or afterwards? Do you or the cashier press something on a screen to allow the scanner to register the barcode?
Thanks for the honest pro's and cons. I am a thrifty shopper ... so I don't think Ibotta is for me. Buying more to save more doesn't seem like a practical strategy for me.
I have yet to get any deals on PayPal honey. (3 years) I have it installed on Amazon and buy hundreds of very different items and not once have I ever gotten a coupon with any purchases. I have drop listed many items and I do get alerts from time to time, but when I click on the email alert and I it takes me to Amazon web site the same price is showing not the new lower alert price. It seems this app extension is just monitoring my buying habits. At least the app is free
I've always wondered if Honey was legit, this video clears it up. 👍 But I can see how you'll be spending more money on honey because discounted prices seem more appealing, and we're more likely to buy them even if we don't need it.
I have a question for any who is reading this comment in regards to this Money done right channel. It seems this channel published 12 videos from about 10-12months ago. What happened? If you read their website it’s seems to be a a group of well of individuals knowledanle, I see them not commenting back to any comments that people on their videos. Seems they worked on these videos , published, then poof they gone. Are we supposed to trust what they claim. ?
The hidden maintenance fee makes me mad. Any interest I had in using the app is gone after hearing that. Companies that do things like that are shady and will get no business from me
Drop was good for 5 years but then they changed the way you redeem. They kept saying I had to wait until Thursday at a certain time to redeem. I wasn't able to so I got frustrated and deleted the app after 5 years. I had $75 worth of points but couldn't redeem. I even tried to buy bitcoin with the points and send it to my coinbase but had no luck.
Hello, I can't find a way to contact customer service, try to withdraw my money to PayPal, confirmed my account and nothing happens 😭it makes me do it many times and the app does nothing, I feel robbed
That's one thing no organisation should ever know, or should even be asking for... Cyber security students learn that first year, never give your passwords to any companies...
Crazy how I JUST signed up for a cybersecurity course TODAY, and I’m also engaging in this app today also; and I came to the comments section for this exact question. This must be a sign.
I've been using honey for 4 years. I have to purchase supplies for both work and home. It's found 1 coupon in all those years. Today I uninstalled it. Tired of seeing it pop up.
This is a great review. Anybody can find something wrong with anything! Dont like it, move on! I live on the road as a nomad. This has saved me a ton in 1 year. Thank you for the professional review.
“Random reward” sounds like a casino not wanting you to know what your odds are. They can “text you with offers”?? Oh and cherry on the shit sundae…email password???
Are you getting points for scanning receipts after the update? I'm no longer getting points when I scan, it says its valid but I get 0 point reward. Also I'm at level 1 although I've completed all the level qualifications.
@@edwin99901 I gave up they closed my account yesterday claiming I was scanning to many receipts to quickly. I would typically grab my receipts at the end of day and do them all at once. They said I could re open with an email claiming I wouldn't do it again and I said no worries. there's many other receipt apps anyhow but a shame I used this coinout one for a long time
@@jamesporter4535 wow that sucks. I'm getting points again but it's just 10 now which is really a penny. Before I'd get about 4 cents on average. Question, was you at bronze level even though you done all requirements to qualify for diamond tier? All my requirements say done yet I'm at bronze tier. And you cant cash out unless you're ranked higher. I think I'm going to cash out at 10 dollars and delete the app. I'm at 8000 currently and 9500 is 10 dollars.
