I love the emergency open days, Unfortunately the recent one I went to, we were very late in the day due to tiredness and I missed most at the fire station, but still got a good show at the police station! West Merca Police, Hereford and Worcestershire Fire & Rescue - Hereford.

Well at first I was expecting to go up it so it was a surprise when the Watch Commander said 'your my live body.' Within 10 minutes I was in his helmet and on the way up. It was very height with the wind and gap extremely scary! But the car was worst, at one point the fire-fighters laughed this was because I was really stuck with the sit not going backwards and the 'jaws of live' cm's away from my leg, that was scary. But I did it all again at Cheltenham East.

The footage of the line up of boats was taken down towards Ebley Mill which has been dug out right down to the double locks at ryeford. The steam boat was on the section between Marling School playing fields and Lodgemore lane. The plan is to have it all navigable from Eastington to Brimscome Port, funds allowing...

Thanks. I agree a tripod, or even a monopod thing would be better. I had planned to cat her from down on the canal (far right) but there was too many trees in the way. Its a good location (apart from the traffic!) but I do prefer a more sideways shot!

@fredandhistrains I know, naughty isnt it? I was stood on a little mound just off the crossing path, but one guy was almost led on the ballast!
