@@Arin-ne5yy I did assemble it yes 😊 It comes as an assembly kit from a brand called Iló, and they have some incredible automata models like this one 😊

Hey, thank you so much, I’m glad you like it 😊 I agree, that’s a nice wee extra as it wouldn’t be as impressive if it was all in just plain wood colour
Hi, Thank you for the video. I just hacked in a powerful 90 rpm worm gear motor. Everything now works better and faster. Thanks for the suggestion. Alan
Hey Alan, you are more than welcome and that’s excellent, chuffed for you 👌 I’ve got a 12v, 400 RPM high torque motor on stand by to test out, of course with a speed controller so it doesn’t go overboard 😅
Really amazing!! I'm a pianist and I can tell that this looks really good I've been thinking about buying one of these, and now I'm thinking about the painting Thanks :D
Hey Daniel, aahh that’s amazing and thank you so much for that, it’s much appreciated 😊 And you’re gonna love assembling this and then painting it, it’s super satisfying 😃
@MartinsAssemblyHaven my friend has got the cello, and we're thinking on painting them together Do you think I should first build it and then unbuild, paint, and build it again or just paint it and build it?
Ah brilliant. So the thing is that if you paint it while all the pieces are on the board, you can’t really paint the sides as they’re in the boards, but you could pop pieces out, paint it and then assemble. But be careful of the thickness of the paint as the pieces won’t click in places if there’s too much paint. Or you could just paint it while all the pieces are on the boards, that would definitely be the easiest way 😊

I am in Cranberry Township, PA, USA. I havent started building mine yet, but I already bought the Spaceport and Link-Up, so I will have those to build later on :) Thank you very much for this video, and especially the warning at the beginning to 'sand everything'....I sorta figured that I would have to do that.
Hey James, oh from a different part of the USA, that’s excellent 😃 And that’s brilliant, you’re gonna love both of the kits, apart from the motor once it’s connected to both of the runs, but just on spaceport it’s pretty perfect 👌 And you’re more than welcome, I’m just glad I can help out 😊

So I’ve run a wee test already with a high RPM motor and that is no use. So what we need is a high torque and low RPM motor instead. I’d say possibly at around 100-200 RPM mark with high torque. Just because we need something that can move all that resistance that the whole kit gives because just speed alone and low torque can’t do it.
@@MartinsAssemblyHaven my motor stopped functioning and I noticed that some people are saying to get a more torquey motor. I was just wondering if you purchased one and if so from where? I won't contact ROKR for the same thing if it doesn't have enough torque. tks
No yeah there’s no point getting the same one from ROKR as it’s only 4.5V and the torque is too low. I am still looking around and so far I’m aiming for something between 9-12v with around 200 RPM + high torque. But don’t take my word for it just yet as I haven’t tried it out yet.
I finished finished Night City, there are still some areas that the marbles get stuck but I already went through it many attempts to fix and of course breaking a few fragile pieces but luckily fixable, but still works none the less, Im excited to get started on the link pack, just from the two I like Spaceport due to not having so many fragile pieces, Nightcity is simple design but very fragile in ways of putting it together.
Hey Shawn, I’m glad you’ve completed the Night City but yes I agree that it’s a bit of a pain compared to Spaceport, but as you say at least it works 😊 You’re gonna enjoy the connection kit since it’s very straightforward and easy, but of course the motor is too weak to run both runs at good speed, but it’s fixable 😊
@@MartinsAssemblyHaven I'm almost completed with it, looking cool, I dont know if its on my end, but I lost some of your audio on a good portion of the tutorial, alot of it I'm going by visual
It amuses me when people say they aren't a fan of guns. I had many injuries, including concussions playing contact sport as a young man. Yet having taken up target shooting in my later years, I find it the safest sport I could possibly compete in. We all need to stop listening to the news, regurgitate what the government tell them to say, to push their agenda.
I just finished building the connecting link kit watching your fabulous video. I plugged in the cord, tapped the start pad, and lo and behold to my amazement, everything worked, albeit slowly. A more powerful motor is a must! Many thanks to you, Martin, because without your video I would never have accomplished this project. I have a video of the Runs working but don't know how to attach it here. Once again, thanks, Martin. Jerry Seiff
Hey Jerry, that’s absolutely amazing and I’m delighted it’s working 😃 You are more than welcome and I’m just delighted I was able to help you in any way and you could always send the video of it working to my email address in my channel’s description 😊
Hi Martin, Please check to see if you installed the 2 parts D5 underneath A1, the motor assembly board. That should keep the motor board from twisting when screwed down.
Hey again Gerald, I can confirm that you are correct, I did somehow manage to miss adding the 2 D5 rings, but thankfully it doesn’t affect the kit and its performance. And thank you very much for spotting that 👌
Great job and video. For me the speed's okay. For sure the lift takes a lot of time, but all in all with the blue lights it's an awesome run. Maybe you'll find a slighty longer belt for the city.
Hey, thank you so much for that, it’s much appreciated 😊 That’s fair enough, everyone’s preference is different and yeah that blue light is really awesome. A longer belt would unfortunately slow down the spaceport even more, but I’ll see if I can find a bit more powerful motor 😊
