I never planned for my channel to be about CNC or laser work but that's how it went.
Back in 2019 I bought a CNC machine and ran into issues. A lot of existing tutorials used terminology that a beginner would not be familiar with so I started a series of tutorials targeted at beginners, breaking things down and hopefully making the CNC journey easier to be a part of. I spend a lot of my free time helping people through their CNC issues on RU-vid and Facebook.

absolutley useless this is, as if the material is uneven how will it know where the uneven bits are if ur cutting a pcb the bed needs toi be perfectley level all way round the pcb ur cutting not just in the middle so this is basically useless and same goes for uneven material total wast of a bed leveling sensor in my opinion
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing. The VEVOR 3018 PRO (edition 2024) is construction wise a little bit different, but the basics are the same. Did the tie wraps come in the box? In my package not. I do have some, but didn't use them yet. How long did it take you to do the build up? I guess you studied the manual thoroughly because you mounted everything so smoothly, without hesitation. Tomorrow I'll watch part 3. Till the end of episode 2 I managed everything to do without your videos, but what comes in part 3 will be the most important. I 'm curious......
Is there a solution for mdf spoil boards thats been faced. Mdf gets “fuzzy” after being faced and doesnt like tape. Almost all my projects require a 2 sided tape method, no tape likes fuzzy bits of a faced mdf
a jobsite table saw is not what you need for ripping down sheets of plywood, you need a "Sliding table saw" ( expensive take up massive space), or a track saw.
@@kevinwillis6707 it wouldn’t JUST be for sheet goods. Back home in Canada I had a small and cheap Canadian tire table saw that I’d rip sheets, do long mitres, even cut plumbing pipe. I’ve not found a track for my circular saw here, and I’d loathe to have to get a new one just for a compatible track and it wouldn’t help with the long mitres and making finger joints 🤔
@@MakerHacks I find the cuts from job site saws to be too rough for fine work, even with a decent blade fitted, I'd look for a good second hand cast iron table saw, if space is an issue you could remove a side extension, the older cast iron saws are much quieter, and the tables are much flatter than job site saws. I have a track saw but am going to upgrade my older cast iron table saw to the new hammer k2m saw, it's pricey , but I'm fed up compromising on tools. I can't believe how much the likes of DeWalt job site saws have gone up in price the last few years, it narrows the price gap between them and a good cabinet saw.
I have been using Evolution Cold Cut blades for cutting steel plate. They know what they are doing. There is a lot of competition out there in this portable and foldable market. I am currently using a 15 year old Ryobi unit that is still going strong. But I always keep my eyes open. I am a Bosch fanboy but I think the Dewalt is a better saw than the Bosch. The Evolution here in the US is about $375 but not the same unit shown here. It will take a lot of homework and research to find steel components and quality construction if I ever have to replace the Ryobi. The most important feature of any tool is the mindfulness you put into your work. I did the bulk of my precision cabinetry and boat building projects with cheap tools. The best tools with no mindfulness will not make you a good carpenter.
So I just decided a few hours ago on the DeWALT DWE7492 and you come out with this video. Now I am not so sure anymore. The Evolution looks great and I like the out-feed support option on the plus version.
It would be nice if you do a stress test on how ridgid the new xz really is. I have the 4040 pro and it struggles plunging more than .125" doc. I plan on buying xz upgrade when they release the extended version.
This is the 3rd video ive watched for this "machine ". This one makes it a hard pass. I think it's worth the extra $100 or so to get a much better one.. thanks for making the video. Great explanation!!🎉
