This sounds great man but I would also try adding some repetition because you have a lot of cool licks but they're getting lost because the audience doesn't have enough time to digest them. This would add more space and also allow to you accentuate some really nice lines.
What a fantastic groove on this one! I just love the slapped Ric! I have one in Jetglo but I find it difficult to slap. You make it look really easy! Great job!
Love the tone and color of your new guitar! Congrats on that! I really enjoyed the tune as well! Nice to throw a little different content out there! Nicely done!
Thanks! I like it, the neck feels like a baseball bat, but at the same time it's comfortable. After playing an Epiphone Casino for many years, the sound of a strat is very bright and twangy in comparison. But it also feels that it's easier to make it sound good when recording guitar tracks. I don't have to work as much as with the Casino to get a good sound out of it.
@@paulipetas Thanks for your reply. That’s what I’m concerned about purchasing a Vintera Tele, the baseball bat-like neck. It seems like it would be cumbersome to maneuver. But I love the looks and the vintage pickups. The thing is, I like play some old Bakersfield Sound country, rockabilly, and surf, so the vintage Tele type of guitar is perfect for me … except for that damn neck. 😂
Lovely smooth warm sound. What interests me is your fretting hand. For most of your playing, you keep your fingers close with very little stretching to reach the frets. just shifting your hand up and down the neck.
Love your videos! How do you record the other instruments? Do you play them all live or also virtual? It all sounds so great and well balanced. Thumbs up bro!
I wish I could get more of that "ping" sound, out of my '77 Precision! I love my P-bass, but this is a sound I just can't achieve. No matter how bright I set my amps, it still has a slightly muddy sound (which is an incredibly cool sound, by the way, for most music). Go ahead. Call your P-Bass slap groove raunchy....I LOVE it!
Thanks! I feel that my bass could have a bit more punch. Also, the wood doesn't resonate that well, but I guess that with the correct amount of compression and some EQ, you still get nice sounds out of a mid 00's p-bass!
Love that p bass sound! What year is that bass? It's beautiful and has a super rich sound! I have a mid 80s Ibanez blazer P bass copy that I use when I need that distinctive tone! Nice job as always! Love the progression!
Thanks! The p-bass is from 2004. I don't think that mid 00's Fender basses are highly regarded but at least it's still possible to get somewhat good sounds out of them!
