I've been working on my 98 pathfinder now for about a year. MY question is about the rear passenger side and the large space around the wheel well and the rear storage space. I thought I had fixed everything, but when I took it for inspection there was a gaping hole below the rear storage on the right from the rear . ALso what do you do to replace the rusty framework?

Hi I don’t know if you’re still trying to make RU-vid vids, but if you are I have a suggestion. So I was about to subscribe but I think most people find white dudes talking like white dudes super annoying. No offense, but I couldn’t even finish the video after you guys started “white bro’n out”. I promise you, it’s a thing most people find annoying. Okay anyway best of luck.

nice video, nissan also produced diesel versions of the R50 as well with the TD 2.7 litre 4 cylinder turbo diesel which produced 128 hp and came with both manual and auto transmissions, and the successor to the TD it was the QD32ETi which was 150 hp and then it was replaced with the ZD30 engine which wasn't all that reliable i have a 98 model with the QD32ETI motor in it, done 260 thousand km's (160 thousand miles) on it and still doesn't miss a beat, taken it all over new zealand and done some wild tracks in it

Heyyy, one quick question. do you prefer flat bars or drop bars for delivering like for 3 or 4 hours per day?
@TotalOutdoorsBC
@TotalOutdoorsBC 26 дней назад
I find drop bars (with proper hoods) are more comfortable for longer rides but it depends on the frame geometry. On my blue bike I’m still leaning forward quite a bit with the flat bars so longer rides don’t feel great on my wrists. Could experiment with grips to solve that though? I think drops are the meta in bike touring because you can switch up the positions.

Nice! I would say most customers only have their cargo box on when needed and take it off in the off season - saves on gas and keeps it from getting too sun damaged over the years. The bars are fine to leave on all year and almost everyone does!

I just picked up a 2003 SE 4x4 with an automatic transmission and manual transfer case. Unfortunately, it's got the 4.363 gearing. But it's got a limited-slip rear, so I'll work with that. I bought it for a few hundred dollars with a seized engine and some rust-through in the cargo floor. I'm almost done with the rust repair, and I've got a junkyard VQ35DE engine on a stand, and a few boxes of parts for it. I'll be making and posting videos this summer - I'm almost healed up enough from knee surgery on April 30 to get back to the build and creating content. I've got a list of stuff I want to do to it including manual hubs and welding the front diff. I've subscribed to your channel!

I would suspect that preparing the Trail Hydroflask - adding ice cubes first and closing. Then sitting for maybe an hour to 2 to cool the interior. Then adding water will allow it to remain cold longer.

I've got a 97 R50. Pretty sure I dealt with the exact same evap code and the same knock sensor code. If you're still looking at those, You can simply cut the wires for the old knock sensor and install a new knock sensor and just mount it to the top of the engine block. I'm confident that the evap code probably means that your cannister is breaking down and clogging some of the air hoses with charcoal (weird, I know). Happy trails.

Thanks for the tips! I actually did the knock sensor replacement like that a couple years ago :) interested in replacing the charcoal canister but it’s kinda pricy :/
@JasonS42
@JasonS42 6 месяцев назад
@@TotalOutdoorsBC If you do wind up doing it the hard part seems to be going through all of the lines leading up to the engine bay and cleaning out bits of charcoal. After about 30 years, the R50s tend to be pretty plugged up with the stuff.

Hey! None of my rack stuff came with it, it only had the stock crossbars when I got it. It's a Thule crossbar system with the Yakima LoadWarrior basket and extension. If your Pathfinder also has the stock tracks, here's every part you would need for the same thing: - Thule WingBar Evo 118 - Thule 460R - Thule Fit Kit 3101 - Yakima LoadWarrior - Yakima LoadWarrior Extension - Thule HideAway 8.5' Awning (sold) I was actually planning on making a video about my rack setup soon so watch out for that!

Its crazy how much visibility can make for a more enjoyable and even more fun driving experience. My sister has a brand new Ram and going from that back into my 2000 xj or 1996 f150 really makes me not want a new truck at all. And the new trucks are boring imo.

Amen brother on that last point. I've been driving a 74 Suburban for the past 35 years and any time I get in my damn wifes Rav4 I feel like I've been blindfolded the damn thing is always beeping this way and that tellin me what to do I cant stand it. That visibility sure makes the difference too if you've had a few cans with the boys and youre drivin home on a dark country road if you know what I mean. Only point I'd add to your list is that these new "SUVS" don't often come with V8s haha if it doesn't have a chevy small block I, aint, interested. Keep up the good work but consider getting into something american instead of that little japanese tin can. A good ol XJ would suite you well I can tell LOL.

Older is better I 100% agree. I'm a Yota fan, 2014 Scion xD and 2011 Toyota Venza AWD, but three years ago I bought a used 2019 Nissan Frontier 4x4 Midnight with 15k miles. The second gen Frontier has been around since 2005 but it's a basic, reliable and dependable little truck reminiscent of the decade prior when Japanese vehicles were bullet proof. Also it was $15k cheaper than Tacos with 80k miles 😂 In the near future I'll be looking, hopefully, for a 4x4 Xterra either 3.3L or 4.0L. You made extremely valid points in the video, great job man! Keep that Pathfinder until the wheels fall of bro shes beautiful 😍

I love the line "The reason they don't have blind spot monitoring is because that have windows." So true and in you case an alert driver. Most of the driver assist/safety tech is people who are not are focused as you. They play with the vehicle's infotainment systems and their phones instead of watching watch they are doing.
