Watching this reminds me of how funny and goofy the musical was. The Broadway show was a blast! I think the movie tried to make their music seem more serious to appeal to non-theatre people, which is especially obvious in how they changed stupid with love and the removal of songs like where do you belong and stop
I was half-expecting "That filter you use looks just like me" despite this not being the movie-musical because my brain has now conditioned me to think of the lyric change whenever I hear Renee's voice lol
i’m assuming (at the beginning) it’s because she switched from the obvious fake crying to a serious-sounding song that made them laugh, may be wrong but it’s what i thought of when i heard it
She ATE this song in the movie!! This young woman's performance as Regina George was phenomenal to say the least. I could not see anyone doing this part justice better.
