HEYYY do you still drive for Greyhound? I have a few questions and I actually need some help getting on with Greyhound if you can help me. I’m trying to find out who in HR or lower can I speak to regarding my application. I got a email back and it said the position requires a CDL Class A or B holder. I have a CDL. So I didn’t understand.
You actually don’t need to have a CDL to go to training because they will help you get it. All you need is a permit to go the training, but you will have to complete your CDL by the time you finish training .
@@unrulyrobb. But I already have my CDL. Lol Atlanta is the closest to me. I don’t know if the application is a computer automatic process or an actual person is reviewing the application. But Atlanta keeps responding back fast and it’s not good news. The third email from the second application claimed my application indicated I didn’t live in the hiring area location. 🙄 that’s a lie, the application asked if I lived within 2 hours of the hiring location. I live a hour away. The third email from the first application said the position requires a Class A or B CDL with passenger and airbrake endorsement…. They had a number in the email for the Atlanta recruiter I called and got no answer. I left a voicemail and haven’t got a call back yet.
@@Ayana08SuperStar I would say go to the location and talk to the supervisor to let them know what’s going on because it doesn’t seem like whoever is emailing you understands what is going on.
@@unrulyrobb. Yeah, I thought about driving down there. But I really don’t want to drive a hour wasting my gas and time. I wanted to be able to call somebody.
If you think about it long enough you'll see why your comment is incorrect on a couple of different levels. My not trolling you is random acts of kindness. Have a great day trying to figure it out. 😊
@@Fatz438 yes it’s $100 a day for training. 2 weeks long. And as far as the endorsements it’s best to go in with it but if someone don’t have it they still have to do the same training. Only thing is if they don’t have them all that have to take the test at the Secretary of State b4 they finish with the training
Dammmm they b treating y’all well , Good food room hotel I want to kno do they give you a route how long is the training for ?? How many weeks do y’all bid on route , meaning once’s you got the route it’s yours . Also do they certify u there or do y’all got to go to the dmv?? Meaning do they hve they own dmv instructor there or do you got to get certified only at the dmv .. ?? Also what the pay
It’s good you home every other day unless you get a run that comes back that same day. But you also have the option to do runs from the other terminals and stay out of town longer
Can you update us? How's it going? What's it like? I've applied, gotten an email and a voice-mail but when I try to follow-up I can't get through. What was your application experience like. I mean from application to actually getting to orientation?
You will get $3500 after your week two of being on the bored and after that it’s like $2000 every other month until the end of the year with the remaining balance for the last pay at the end of the year
I'm thinking applying for that bonus 😂 but I know it's a catch to it. Anyway, how is the training? I've been driving motorcoaches for 20 years, mostly part time. I'm sure you on the road right now. What's the average pay for a driver there starting?
It’s no catch you just will have to go out for training for 2 weeks … it’s not hard if you can understand how to do the log book.. other than that you should have the driving part down packed. As for as the bonus they break it up, you will get your first pay after two weeks of being on the board the rest of it is like every two months you get some of it. You will have the full payout the first year. And the pay is different at every location hourly… what location are you applying for?
Can you do a day in the life video that shows what it's really like as a Greyhound driver? Can you pick where you drive? What is it like out there? How do layovers work and how long are the layovers? Stuff like that? I appreciate your videos.
You can only pick where you drive if you have a set route. But you can only get that with seniority or if someone that has a set route is on vacation and you bid on their route
Layovers is different from location to location. It can be 15 minutes. It could be just a pick up and drop off or it can be hours is different at different locations depending on the route that you were on for that day.
Your room is right down the hall but you were late, messing it up for everybody!😂 You are training for a job driving Greyhound! You don't think punctuality is critical?! Smh🤦🏾♀️
@@SRTJAY64 no… it will not speed up the process.. You still will have to get a d.o.t physical through greyhound. I had one myself as well but it has to be a new physical
Usually the ones who always ask about drug testing are usually the ones who are smoking weed and doing something their not, if you were clean you wouldn't be asking anything about a drug test
