They build cheap homes with the right concepts. Yes, I just bought one. Nice plan, cheap paint, ... list is long, but overall it's OK if you want a cheap home.
I just bought a home in North Carolina, I am very happy with the quality of the home. They have a faster build process because they have the inventory, and they preassemble parts of the house in their warehouses. Also, I saw that the workers will work 7am - 8pm for the roof, etc. Nothing is perfect in new construction, that is why you have the warranty.
questions: are the fire houses truly volunteer? they have a blue and respond to the fire house for calls! they have a civil defense siren that trips? ect is there local taxes that come from your employment earnings/City wage tax? How is cell phone service? Does Lewis have 911 service or do the caller need to manually dial the number? What about lcoal high speed internet service? so you can work from home.
Hi, just noticed complaint on the Facebook post about nasty smell in Millsboro DE. Is this a random complaint or it’s something new comments should consider and be prepared ? People are arguing if that smell is chicken farm or the water suers ? Is it really a problem in the farm state of DE / I am planing to move to Millsboro soon and this is something new for the CONS . Please cover this topic Thank you !
Maybe off topic, but I am receiving Zillow alerts from my soft searches for housing in Milton and Lewes. I receive a large amount of price reduction notices on new and older homes sitting on the market for a while. Why do you think there are so many reductions?
Homes sitting on the market for extended periods will reduce prices to try and sell - more inventory being introduced to the market means that those who aren’t selling will need to reduce to get sold
Another great video! Always sad to see summer come to an end but I love seeing all the off season deals and happy hours returning at the local restaurants.
I like these types of videos Matt. Helps to understand all of what the area has to offer. I've got another video idea if you haven't done it already: Hidden or Known Gems, the best places for food, play, or adventure that are *dog* friendly. I'm trying to find ways to entertain the WHOLE family.
My property taxes have gone up 26% in the last 3 years in Milton and the town council just voted in another 34% compounded that's 74%. The state is a ponzi scheme Get you in with low taxes and then blast you with high taxes and huge development for which the taxpayers are stuck paying for the infrastructure
Thanks again Matt for not only doing a great job as a local coastal realtor, but updating us on what's so special about this area. We have found some of the hidden gems you mentioned, but more to do now as new lower slower coastal DE residents!
Delaware hide’s it’s taxes as fees. Southern Delaware is becoming another area ruined by liberals moving from areas that they trashed and are bringing their liberal agenda here. Been here 21 years….. time to move I think.
I have a lennar home water leaking in 2 bedrooms windows and leaking from dryer vent check your baseboard molding staining and bubbling lennar never fixed one of my leaks and I am still dealing with this problems some of my neighbors had the same problem lennar always says it’s out of warranty when you notice the problem keep checking your moldings on the floor it takes a while to show up
I've visited Rehoboth Beach my entire life. It used to be idyllic. Unfortunately, Del beach areas are now horribly overpopulated, overpriced, and overbuilt with insufficient roads and infrastructure and laughable public transportation. You'll have to drive to Washington, Annapolis, or Baltimore for medical care. And there's a terrible shortage of doctors. You have to drive 2-3 hours to BWI to get on a flight. While the restaurants have been improving, they're overpriced and not comparable to other parts of the country. And the traffic and parking is miserable - everywhere. The main drag is full of tourists and repetitive vendors all selling pizza, fries, taffy, and tshirts. The new suburban neighborhoods of outer "Lewes" are nice but literally out in left field with stores and resources at least 20 minutes away. The zoning is simply horrible. And let's talk about flood risk, climate change, and sealevel rise. It's going to be a risky challenge to live in lower DE over the next 25 years. It's a nice place to visit, but...
As a Senior if you need healthcare look elsewhere. Most of the people in our community go out of state if they need anything more than a physical. Second rate doctors that make you wait weeks for appointments. 😮
