I have seen the change in the City of Memphis under Police Chief C. J. Davis. The officers are more attentive, kind and respectful now. Nevertheless, every new police officer should attend a cultural awareness and diversity training enhancement program. Memphis needed Chief C. J. Davis in leadership to bring a different type of humility and nurturing spirit. Although, it will take more than a Police Chief to change the culture of Memphis. It will take all of us. Memphis is a great city to live in. We must reimagine the life, liberty and pursuit of happiness for all its citizens. The citizens in Memphis must change their mindsets with cliques, antiquated thinking and biases regarding female leaders. In my opinion, she is the best Police Chief for Memphis regardless of gender or race.
