Democrats and Republicans are so different today. Very sad. Some people want to work and do the best. Some people want to live off the government, and that is WRONG (unless you REALLY need help and want to contribute to society in a GOOD WAY)!

Ms. Fraser, I find your pompous additude extremely off setting enough to write this. In particular the writing on page 23 of your book "Prairie Fires" which I was very anxious and excited to read put me off at this quoute, " Carried out on the morning of December 26, 1862, the execution was one of the most grotesque public events in the nation's history, a triumphal display of race hatred." Try reading a real history book by Mari Sandoz, Crazy Horse and stop talking down to other history people.

I’m so glad a light is being shined on Mrs Chisholm at this time. Regina King did a great job playing her! I’m 55 and didn’t learn anything about her in school.

Lots of spooky thing happen here in the Ozarks. For the most part, these are very rural, rugged, areas. If you draw a line from Poplar Bluff to Springfield to Rolla and back to the Bluff, you will have an area that is not only inaccessible, but has it's own culture, that is very distinct; more Appalachian than prairie...People around here have been claiming to see things in the sky for well over a 100 years. I was in the service when the lights at Piedmont were seen by so many people...I know some of those folks, and they really believe they saw something that wasn't explainable.
