Did you say 30 items ??? That is massive! Congratulations!!! And I am being serious. My experiences at these events is a lot of just looking. A lot of touching and compliments about how beautiful my things are. But not that many sales. So I say again, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I sold only 19 things and all but one were under 20$. I normally do closer to 40 items so it was a bummer. Not a total bust but definitely worth the effort of it all in the heat lol But yes I got tons of touching and compliments but not as much buying this time around!
It’s not super difficult there is some new stitches that you may not be familiar with. Like treble and double treble. There is video tutorials on RU-vid for those stitches! It utilizes front loops and back loops so that’s really the toughest part. I wouldn’t make it your first project but if you have some ami under your belt I think it can be accomplished. I’m always here to help too and can send videos if you get stuck ☺️ (easiest to do through insta)
For yarn scraps - I give myself permission to keep blacks and pinks or any color I would use for accents. So I have all my black and pinks for blush or stitched eyes and any other scraps go to the trash Longerish scraps I’ve seen used for scrap snakes and that seems like a fun project (maybe at the end of every year, you have a snake with pieces of all your projects from the year)
Yes I keep those colors too! Especially since I embroider all my eyes and half the time it’s just knotted yarn. If it’s a decent size I definitely hang onto it Incase I could use it!
Are you using dollar tree chenille yarn? That's what I have. I was wondering how you liked it and what hook size you use with it? I found doubling up the strands created the perfect look. Boy does it shed though, lol.
I’m using premier parfait chunky! I felt it shedded a lot so I haven’t used it much. I do think double stranded is definitely the way to go to insure it looks full and fluffy! If I remember correct I used a 4mm with one strand!
