I have the fn spr mod70 action and its factory built and shoots as good or better than these…nit takin 1 thing from GA precision as there one of the best made…mines 24” 1:12 1” tapered to .980” at muzzle 3rd flush box…factory triggers barley 2lb and has wide great feeling shoe….couldnt lucked into a better rifle for what I had been always wanting…m40 style/type setup but the Mauser actions just a plus…bolt feels like it’s free floating in air I’ve broke it in so good….hope all is well tye…jump on and give us a shout..👊🏻
Very cool, I just ordered one of the printed scope mounted bubble levels in black and it appears they are made of a different plastic? How does the durability of the PA11 material compare? I'm not using my scope for a hammer, but I'll be using it on a hunting rifle and it may take a small bump at some point. I plan to put it in a somewhat protected area on the scope if possible.
The heat generated by the laser and plasma change the hardening on the steel plus the prep time afterward to clean dross make waterjet more cost effective.
I got a good trigger pull would be at 3 lb, but 2 and 1/2 lb to me is way too light. It's almost like a hair trigger and that's not really good if you're shooting a match rifle. But if you're shooting a buffalo rifle like a Sharps rifle then maybe 2-1/2 lb trigger pull would be all right.
i would like to know the power of the laser. if you were cutting that with anything less than 6kw, you're cutting it too slow and yes, that affected area is going to expand. i have a buddy that cuts with a 8kw all day long and he does not get that level of affected area.
So I just bought this unit. I bought 2 extra rods and I shoot a custom bolt gun with a 28 inch proof sendero barrel with a break. Barely fits so my question is why go with steel rods and not aluminum or even carbon fiber?With 2 rods and the unit attached to my 3 inch pic rail underneath, this thing weighs over 3lbs and that’s a lot for a small pic rail.
This is a great test. I'm considering making my own targets and was curious about effects of plasma cut edges. However since plasma tables and torches are inexpensive compared to laser and water jet I will stick with my original plan. Great info!
