Wow great job a lot of work definitely I have the tan interior to now. Pain in the ass to keep it clean. I tought about doing endless seat covers. Now seeing how red looks pretty good I might do that for now. Definitely would like to do black interior tho with red seat like yours.
Did you spray your headliner black or wrap it? I have that same model acura and seeing you do all this is just inspiring me. I had an 05 accord that i had redid the headliner and wrapped my plastic parts. Of course it would of been much easier to just buy the right color plastic pieces as the wrap made putting the pieces a bit harder to clip back into place. But what a transformation! Thanks for answering my questions when i first posted on here too
The headliner I spray painted, but I kind of regret it. It was never as black as I really wanted it to be. When I do it again on my Type S, I’ll be wrapping it in new fabric
I love seeing this... I purchased an abused 06 Acura TL ONLY because it has a strong engine and transmission. But the previous owner messed up both front door panels by cutting out 6.5 speaker holes... lord knows why? So now I gotta find new door panels. Figured I'd try to replace the dash or just cover it with some material as it's cracked all to heck. I'll have to replace BOTH front fenders because instead of rolling them he pulled them... like literally pulled them with some tool so they look terrible.. he lowered the car too but didn't put a camber kit on it... so I have no idea what kind of suspension kit is on it. He definitely didn't have coilovers. He also messed up the rear speaker deck. Not sure why but he cut parts off where the 8in sub went.. so while it may need a lot of TLC one thing I won't have to worry about is the engine/transmission. We pulled both and it all looks good. But now it's time to actually get the car looking good. I love your red seats and the type s interior swap. Can't wait to see what you do next!
@Da One TL no..... he was of... uhm, African decent lol but I noticed you managed to use a type s carpet on your acura. Could the 07 Acura type S door panels also work on a 06 acura tl base?
@@acuralee yes they can. In the video, the door panels I swapped into this 06 base were from a type s Which works out great, since they’re about to be swapped into an actual type s
Thanks for the tip bro... thus far I've installed 18x9.5's +35mm rims with new tires, tien street z coilovers, skunk 2 front camber kit, rear truheart camber kit, and now I'm saving for the SPC toe arms. Still gotta get new fenders and side marker lights. But as i mentioned before the engine and tranny are still running strong but since slapping the new rims and tires on I haven't been driving it so I'm not eating up my tires. I was concerned with my interior at first but now I just wanna drive my baby. Still need new O2 sensors, and my VSA lights on... I'm assuming it has to do with the TPMS sensors that came from fitment industry's And I don't think it's communicating with my acura
@@Techman1090it’s just me but it depends on what work would need to be done. Like, just an interior swap? Or something special like redoing the headliner?
Ive seen other channels put that red cover seats and I'm still in love with the color and design of em. Wish my car was in good shape so I can mod the shit out of it, but for all I know it could stop working tomorrow. nice job.
@@Da_one_tl I'll use this for safe keeping when i buy a better condition acura TL. Right now mine is at 270k miles as an 05 so I don't think it's in the best shape for these upgrades.
My tl just hit 200 thousand miles but my car is in like perfect shape, no cracks in my dashboard and my body and interior is still mint. I dont think I could ever part with this car. U did a good job and u did it the right way, changed everything.
great job bro. takes a lot of dedication and effort to do this project. was it hard finding the black interior trims? edit: nvm, read you got a nice deal locally
Actually redoing a headliner isn't that hard nor is it that expensive. But yeah 125 for all trim panels that's a big steal!!! Some of those are 100$ just by themselves!!!
@@acuralee the headliner is actually what I was regret doing. I elected to paint it before doing the starlights. It turned out fine but not as pitch black as I would’ve liked. When I end up redoing it for my type s I’m going to get new fabric
