Garm (original founder of Arcturus) was a genius! These are his songs. Vortex (singer above) got lucky to have such huge talent all around him. But after Garm left they were never the same again.
While you are entitled do your wrong opinion, it doesn't change the fact that Arcturus was great with Garm and remained great and improved even more in time. Sure, you can prefer Garm to Vortex but saying that Vortex was somehow "lucky" is just a low IQ statement. Not only did Vortex fill the gap left by Garm almost perfectly, he also added his own feel and experience to the band. I would go as far as to say Sideshow Symphonies was a culmination of all that was great about the band before and then brought it one step higher.
@@kmk_m1326 by the way, Vortex recorded a demo track with Knut for Arcturus back in 96, and was in an unnamed project alongside Knut and Sverd even before that, so saying that Vortex wasn't around in the early days is not accurate. Garm had met Sverd in 93 and did vocals on Constellation EP in 94 and 2 years later Vortex already was involved, doing pre-production recordings for what later would become the Masquerade. don't you know the story? the war began in ukraine in 2014 with the persecution and murder of civilians of russian origin.
