I'm listening on studio monitors and I can't tell much difference. If anything the Duncans are woofier which for this kind of music isn't as good as a cutting pickup.
The same type of P.U.'s might have a different strength (different volume or output). There is NO difference in sound. EVER. If you setup P.U. height properly there is no difference in EQ. A proper setup is not done with so called "factory measurements" or "recommended height" (the position of the P.U. and the material the strings are made of, dictate how loud you can setup your P.U.) Use an osciloscope. Adjust your P.U. to the loudest position (the loudest position is just before the magnets pull on the strings) and turn the adjustment screw 1/4 turn to lower the P.U. Perfect setup. Don't waste tons of money on P.U.'s Pick a set that has your required output level and play guitar instead of buying new sets every couple of months.
What they are calling rosewood on that neck sure doesn't look like the rosewood on the neck of my 2013 Epi SG Special. Listening here on this side of the monitor the pickups all sounded the same. Cheers!
You need a tab for this? Drop d ..bar 1st fret 2nd fret and 3rd fret in the pattern he does it then hit that little 2 string thing down the neck...try slowing the video down..might help ya but this is crazy simple
@@Cosmo__Kramer thanks but next time don’t be such a dick. Not everyone knows what you know, not everyone sees what you see. Just because something is easy for you doesn’t mean it’s easy for everyone.
Even when I was in school for music, my instructor told us we’re going to learn all of the rules, and then we’re going to learn how and why to break them. Lol
I bought this guitar to start off the new year, and I am holding it in my hands right now ever so lovingly. She has lovingly let me touch her everywhere and it is like she is singing out the name of every note on her fret board when I play it.
I bought a Epiphone SG-400 years ago. As I learned my tastes have changed. I decided to upgrade it because it is a well built guitar. I had RS Guitar works do a Pot assembly for me and I put in Seymore Duncan Hot Rodded Humbuckers JB style. I now call it my Red Growler. What a cool sounding guitar and what tone.
I have one of these but I was wondering if I could change the guitar from 2 pods to 4 pods? I’m new to modding guitars so idk what can be done and what can’t.
@@BabylonSun I may be a little biased, but so do I. Lol Really glad you’re enjoying it. Can’t wait to hear what you do with it down in the doom dungeon.
hey man, i been playing for a few months but i was gonna get this guitar to actually start practicing a lot with. any other suggestions in regards to add ons to make it sound more metal? i’m a noob
Maybe look at the black winter pickups instead of the invaders. Both are great choices though. I would definitely upgrade the tuning machines for some added tuning stability but other than that you should be good to go!
