Absolutely mesmerizing. I love the ideas and interactions of multiculturalism depicted. Shonibare is a fantastic artist, and deserves far more recognition.
I saw the exhibition in July and really enjoyed it . Her book is a must read. To be able to see the influence Giacometti had on her early career and then see her work go into a different direction from his is astounding. She carved her own lane and now should be included in the Canon of modern art.
I am hoping to read all the books she wrote - I have 'I Always Knew' lined up first. Completely agree, she truly is a visionary who has been under appreciated.
