That Nova is SWEET! I thought the car was a Kombi! I'm going to Chicago. I don't like the idea of camping out to be there, I plan on being in town an hour before the show. When did you go in Walmart there? Looks like it was after it opened if nobody was waiting outside
The Nova is really cool! The cool Kombi is the Legends Tour car, you are correct. The Nova is the numbered 2024 car, similar to the mail ins for other stores, like Dollar General and Dollar Tree. Walmart opens at 6 AM and so that is when they let you in the store.
its cool alright, but the thing is, its still to less detailed for its price point. i mean, look, for this pricepoint, i expect the same detail as that elite 64 mercedes with plastic headlights. other brands do this type of model for 12 dollars. example, xcartoys. and OHH my god, this is too over hyped on ebay. who pays 40 dollars plus shipping and taxes * i am guessing that makes up to 55- 60 dollars * for a 1/64 car that others have way more detail and cheaper then the normal car itself? and it literally had painted exhaust. this rlc car, in terms of price, hit a new low for just tampos as exhaust.
Thank you! I appreciate it! When it was available, it was around $30 USD. Since it is no longer available, and it is a highly desirable casting, $100 USD on the secondary market is quite common.
We should have let the kids pick the winner Hot Wheels legend tour 2024 Detroit those judges need to be interviewed when they get back two Hot Wheels headquarters. Your application say you were looking for custom builders
It would be hard to let kids judge. You'd have to give them some sort of narrowed down options. There were not a whole lot of customs at the show. There were at best six custom cars at the show, and a few were very subtle. Something also to keep in mind is that a custom car is a very broad interpretation.
That is a good point. It might be easier in some areas. Over the last 4 years, I've hunted Virginia Beach and St. Louis. Both have proved quite challenging.
Nice! Hope to find some of those new Hot Wheels Boulevard cars including 5:04 the '21 Toyota Supra! I actually have found the HW off road grey-blue Toyota 4Runner at the local Walmart a while back. I was very surprised to even find it on the pegs there!
Thanks! I hope you can find them, especially the Supra! That's great you were able to find the kind of Calvary Blue 4Runner! It's always such a delight to randomly find cars on the pegs!
@@alloutoctane Mattel needs to step up their game when it comes to Matchbox. Hot Wheels has no issues whatsoever since they've been keeping up with their latest cars. It's interesting that the new Matchbox cars aren't doing the same for some reason.🤔
I completely agree. And, Matchbox has some LEGIT castings on the way. Stuff I am really looking forward to! They have a high anticipation factor but really low satisfaction factor in regard to obtainablilty at the moment.
its good, but for second market having such shitty prices, its good to say its very overrated, like look at mini gt nismo r34. it looks detail, with plastic headlights, and a great interior. i hope they eventually detail this more to make it worth the hype.
I completely agree with that. The blue one I can see being valuable because it is numbered. The RLC club purple...it's not numbered. This one is not numbered. I'm not understanding why the value is sooo high. The other brands are so much better detailed for the money.
I have the pink one...and _only_ the pink one due to them having a backseat. It's the only one which exists in real life (the one custom made for the movie). It's too bad Mattel didn't make the other 3 without the backseats so we'd also have some accurate '56 corvettes.
That makes a lot of sense. It is a custom one off car for there to be a back seat, so it makes sense to only want and have the original pink one. It would be nice if they made a regular two seat 56 Corvette.
No. They've produced a number of 1:43 scale cars over the years. Particularly, a bunch of Ferraris. You can search eBay for all kinds of 1:43 scale Hot Wheels.
Sure thing! These ones are probably the most main stream, most...organized effort they've done though. At least in terms of detail for price for availability.
I didn't get any supers. I got just a regular H case treasure hunt, a ZAMAC set, and the tour exclusive ZAMAC Nova for buying $25 worth of merch at the event. It was worth it.
Nice! I actually found the HW Legends Tour Team Transport at the local Walmart the other day! Very surprised to find it since it was kind of hidden in a shelf that nobody probably looked into.
surprised that almost NOBODY commented on this video for the last 1 year, anyways, that car is on FIRE. its prolly the most best priced with best details. great vid.
The King raced Fords in 1969 as Chrysler didn't have a car suitable to the big speedways until later that year, he switched back with the introduction of the Plymouth Superbird the next year.
I don't think the Dodge Funny Cars are the Stealth or Intrepid. They are Dodge Avengers. Ford was in drag racing at the time, but there were not many. I remember the Ford Mustang Funny Car at the time in the 90's driven by Whit Bazemore sponsored by Winston cigarettes. Bob Glidden had a Ford Probe Pro Stock sponsored by Ford Quality Care. Dodge was the biggest manufacturer in drag racing at the time because Chrysler Corporation was not spending money to join NASCAR (at the time) or Indy cars.
Oh my goodness...I totally forgot the 90s Dodge Avenger existed! I also forgot that the Mustang was a funny car as well, but wasn't John Force running them in the late 90s? Thank you for that fantastic information! I think it's awesome that Dodge was so invested in drag racing. They've always had that image and attitude. It is a bummer they left NASCAR a number of years ago now, after coming back. I guess budgets really do dictate what a manufacturer can participate in.
Hey I saw your video about the hotwheels display case the one that supposed to hold 50 cars , I was wondering how u were able to put it up on the wall like such as what screw/nail size u used , I know I left a comment on that video aswell but just wanted to leave one on a newer video just incase u don’t see that other comment
I know this video is a little old but what did u use to put them up on the wall with like what nail/screw size did u use ? Im trynna search online but cant find any reference
For this particular case, I had used smaller Tapcon concrete screws, maybe an inch and a half? My wall was plaster. If you were putting it into drywall, you could probably just use 1 3/4 drywall screws.
Totally rad! I can almost hear this beast growling! I've been hoping for this particular machine in 1:64 and my dream has come true at last! Can't wait to get one myself!
