Our hope with this channel is to capture the peace and tranquility of nature and impart it to the viewer. We also hope to inspire people to get outdoors and experience that peace for themselves. A big part of spending time outdoors is learning skills that can make it more enjoyable, but also to keep yourself safe. We hope to help in teaching some of these skills as well. We do live in the city, so we have some plans for urban survival, preparedness, and stealth camping as well. Last of all, we hope to show different concepts in kit building, showcase different gear, and possibly even do some reviews. We hope you stick around and join us!!!
Thanks for watching!

I just carry a scout pocket knife, probably since I've used one since I was a kid, and they are light. I would lose the shelter for a day hike and add a poncho. I use a frog tog I bought at Acadamy. Its can shelter on the move and can be set up as a small shelter.
@@samwilson2797 I actually have been thinking about that. Just recently acquired a Solitary Cape Shelter from Onewind. It would be perfect! Thanks a lot for watching! 👍✌️
I didn’t see the first video but I would suggest trading out the cheap survival blanket for a SOL HEAT SHEET and get the one rated for two people so you could huddle and share body heat, maybe 2 of them if you have kids
@@awayinthewilderness4319 They are just an upgraded version of the disposable Em. blanket made by SOL there orange on the back side and made of a heavier grade material.
In a get home/survival situation I do think the snacks are an excellent idea but I would also toss in a couple NRG-5 food rations in case things go way off the rails.
@@derbybushcraftandoutdoors3176 Been about the same here in my area. I definitely hear you on the fall. The Backwoods Bungalow is truly a great tent. Thanks for watching!
@@FlynnMcTaggart I actually have no idea. I grab everything off of the RU-vid studio music section. It's just a song that has no copyright. It really is a cool song. Had to listen again to see what it was. Thank you for watching! ✌️
usually, (90%of the time) if there is no dew on the grass in the morning or evening, its going to rain within 24 hrs. idk if that Reighns true up there but its pretty reliable down here
@@paull1033 In short, yes I would. However, this time of year I'll have a water filter in there. Usually the Sawyer squeeze with a Hydrapak bag or the Katadyn BeFree. Thanks a lot for watching!
I really don't understand this haversack phase. It just seems like a not very comfortable way to carry gear. Ive seen guys use bags they owned to go camping. I just don't understand why anyone would choose a little bag over a small backpack. The price of hidden woodsman would have my wife murder me. I have a 27liter condor backpack. I got that because molle straps i can make my pack go from overnight to a 3day or more. I can understand a haversack for a day hike but overnight is really not making sense to me. But lots of stuff lately i don't get. Like ultra light backpackers. Very nice bag just not my jam i guess.
@@richardhenry1969 it's not uncomfortable at all, in my opinion. With this one in particular, I wouldn't be hiking in any long distance. The smaller haversacks that I use are for day hike situations and are very light. I've camped in those just to see how the night would go if you had to stay overnight.
Yes I love to get out like this! Basically I’m a loner, love nature. Enjoyed your talk and relaxing bushcraft day camp. Carry a belt kit possibles pouch, small haversack and rucksack. The fat wood is a must, also like to harvest it if I can. That bacon smells good!😊
