It seems like they cut the part where he responds to the question about his favorite final fantasy game. I was so curious to find out 😆. Anyone know by any chance? Mine is a toss up between VI and IX
1) This isn't "Singing of the Gentle Wind." 2) This girl clearly is using printed pages from someone who scanned the book and released it on the internet. Although I think it's disrespectful, I think it's awesome of Squaresound to feature it regardless. Not everyone can afford it, and Xenogears fans love this masterpiece and continue to enjoy it to this day. I still urge fans to purchase this sheet music book. Best RPG ever made.
Thanks for your comment. Wow, I can't believe I didn't notice this. This piece is actually "Shattering Egg of Dreams." We provided the performer with a photocopy of the sheet music from the book so she could write in fingering and any other notes she wanted to. There is no piracy going here and we are strictly against it. Unfortunately, it looks as though this book has gone out of print again. We agree that Xenogears has one of the best, if not THE best soundtrack in a video game of all time.
SquareSound Lol, I see. Perhaps you just named the wrong file whilst uploading, no biggy. That was nice of you guys to provide that, I wouldn't want to write in my book either. I was actually referring to the game as a whole, but I emphatically agree. Mitsuda showed such flair, it's even unique to RPG compositions today. I wish he was still taking on large RPG projects, it'd be a sight to see.
Just met Arnie Roth and Nobue Uematsu at Chicago Columbia Concert Hall!~ Though it was a short performance but still meeting these guys... Oh I can't ask anymore
Sadly no, (I'm aware it's a two yr late response) but anyways yeah it had it's moments like the Barthandleus theme was badass, so half of the stuff wasn't too bad but ya know it isn't Uematsu so it's a downgrade.
He wanted to originally be a wrestler? That's kickass. I love him so much!! :DD Not to mention he didn't have any formal lessons, but he's amazing!! He's a truely inspiring man.
@PerceptionRedemption I'm not nearly as well versed in music as to answer I'm afraid, I have no musical skill or training what so ever let alone the mathmatical eptitude to encourage me to be so (to say nothing of my own laziness.) I just know what I like if that doesn't sound too naive : ) Ps sorry for the extremely late reply matey.
@oIGinIo I assume what remaininghope meant is mainland Asia. For some reason, some people don't consider Japan to be part of Asia, much like how some people don't consider the UK to be part of Europe.
@ozzy9191 Did you even bother reading my comment before you responded? I already stated that Uematsu's impact doesn't come close to Beethoven. What I'm talking about here is musical talent, not impact. The fact is that Uematsu is an entirely self-taught musical genius, something that even Beethoven or Mozart never were (they were both formally trained since childhood). That alone would put Uematsu at least on par with them in terms of raw musical talent.
Just my two cents on the Beethoven and Uematsu comparison: It's worth pointing out that while Beethoven (as well as Mozart, Debussy, and most of the famous classical composers) had formal musical training since childhood, Uematsu never had any formal musical training at all but was instead self-taught. Uematsu's impact is not as large as Beethoven (at least not yet), but as a musical genius, I would say Uematsu is at least on par with Beethoven.
@gelfddelfg i, also, strongly advise you to educate yourself about what is opinion and what is fact. That was my opinion and if you don't like it, don't. Did I say "Thumbs up if you think..."? NO
