This converter is no longer for sale. They have updated it to a far better one that I have bought and am very happy with: the Ras1ution2. Here is the link www.brookaccessory.com/products/ras1ution2/index.html
@@MathewHarris-c7g Did you get the Ras1lution 2 or 1? Which wheel are you using? Perhaps upgrade the software? (link: www.brookaccessory.com/download/Ras1ution/) I will admit that my research shows this converter being used on the PS5 and not the PS4 (listed as working on the PS4 on their website, but I cannot find much more than that). Keep digging; I will too.
It depends on what you want to do. I keep them at +5 clicks from soft for daily driving (eliminates the bouncing but doesn't compress my spine on every little bump in the road), and boost them up higher when I go canyon carving. So to answer your question of "Soft or Hard?" Yes!
It's not that slow, off the mark it hooks up well due to the engine being over the rear wheels. Also around a track I had a mildly modified one keep up with me in my Audi TT RS
Slow is a subjective term and a matter of opinion; my opinion matches yours, honestly. But I didn't want people thinking these were melt-your-face-off fast, and was unfairly comparing it to more modern machines that actually feel that way.
Spot on review. Feels fast & you can have loads of fun without losing your license. I had an M140i but I prefer my MR2 in every way. It is a 2nd toy car, so practically not an issue. Poor man’s Lotus Elise 😊
everytime i plug my wheel into the adapter and into the ps4, it turns on but the adapter light turns off and wheel disconnects after about 5 seconds. only happens with the wheel, not controller. does anybody know a fix?
I'm not sure where you could find them now that they've discontinued this device, but try to find and download the most updated drivers? Sorry, I can't find anything online to help.
I came over the top not paying attention to where I was and almost plunged. I barely stopped in time. It took me a few years to finally clean the Bat Cave from this entrance. LEGENDARY DROP!
Please good sir, tell me what that race wheel contraptionu got it. Where do I get it, what is it called? I dont want a whole race seat, I want the setup u got, or one just like it. I hate strappping it to my table all the time and not usoing as much as I otherwise would
It's a Wheel Stand Pro, costs $150. I am satisfied with it, but you could make one out of PVC that would be cheaper and more stable. But not adjustable. The chair is a RecPro Charles RV Gaming Chair and Ottoman.
Beautiful review, I love your pure reaction. I was thinking about buying those BC RacIng BR Series for me BMW E36 as a replacement of my current basic coilovers. You totally convinced me dude!
Ok... I guess its not gonna go down well if I was to say for this to be practical for me I'd have to attach a small trailer for the odd thing that needs doing. The car looks bang for buck wise quite good. Although the one I was interested in says it needs a new soft top sounds costly.
No offense taken - because you are correct! Good points all. It is not a practical car by almost any storage/portage metric. Truly that (and only one engine option) is what killed the car off. They named it well: Midship Runabout 2-seater. It's great for running small errands alone or with one passenger and can be a DD, but it is not a one-car-fits-most solution. It definitely falls at the "Toy" end of the spectrum. Americans usually get too much car for their standard driving mission anyway (large sedans and SUV's with only the driver or perhaps one passenger aboard for 90% of their trips), but that's because owning multiple mission-specific cars is even less practical than buying one big amalgamation. A toy-car is a luxury purchase, pure and simple. A person needs to accept minimal practicality when going in to purchase cars like this. And then there's finding a place to park it. Maintenance. Insurance. Etc...
Other cars that spring to mind that I wouldn't touch with a barge pole, bmw z3 and Mercedes SLK. Maybe they got better boot space. Toyota MRS appeal for me is it looks like you could run it for a similar cost of any other car - being a Toyota. @@LV2PLA
@@cdogvlog5557 I considered all options and in the end it came close between a Boxster and this car. The price for Toyota oil change and maintenance vs. Porsche oil change and maintenance really helped with my decision. Plus, I've always loved the looks of this car whereas the Boxster is too symmetric in profile to me: you can't tell if it's coming or going.
You've got that right, Scotty! These karts have almost no low-end torque so the key to any overtake is getting on the power early and the brakes late. The girls had almost no driving time across 12 of them, so that combination is not the best you could ask for - especially late braking! These karts can truly fly once you get going and I will frankly admit to getting intimidated myself as I hit top speed through the kink (where our daughter had the wall-strike). These are serious karts and a very aggressive track.
You just hit what I feel is the reason they only offered the single engine option: why would somebody shell out for an Elise if you could get the same out of a Toyota (with dealerships all over the place)? This was true of VW not offering 4WD on their Jetta/Golf for many years around '10: they didn't want to take market-share away from Audi.
Just got a PS5 and I don't think the Logitech G-Force will work with PS5. The Wingman FGC is the only device under PS5 so I don't think it will work like the previous device I have been using for my PS4.
Did you buy the new adapter for the PS5? I'm making a video about that one right now. Far more expensive than the P3/P4 but apparently it works for everything: PS4, PS5, Xboxes. I just know it works on the PS5.
Hi. Let's say I updated Brook converter with steering wheel firmware, and now I want to play some games with PS3 controller. Do I need to install regular firmware now, because one installed is for the steering wheel?! And what is the tournament firmware if you know? Thanks
I do not think you'd need to reinstall anything since it's mapping off of a PS3 controller in the first place. Not sure what you mean by "tournament" firmware, sorry.
Funny you should ask - I was about to add this to the description. Yes, it technically works on a PS5... for roughly 5 minutes before "timing out". So if you spend more than 5 minutes going through menus and then racing, it will stop working mid-turn. That's rather inconvenient. I've bought the latest converter and will be posting a similar video about that shortly.
@@LV2PLA I just bought PS5 and Wingman FGC seems to be the device to buy, but not sure it will control my Logitech G Force Wheel. It says it's for Fighting Games. Looks like I am shopping for Fanatec Wheel.
@@JohnCranberry23 I bought the Brook Ras1lution 2 and it works like a dream. Honestly, my G27 has never been so responsive as it is now. As I commented: new video on that coming out.
@@LV2PLA I decided on purchasing the Gran Turismo DDPro from Fanatec. I actually won the Hoyts Ps5 competition two weeks ago and won a PS5 VR2 3D Headphones and GT7 game. Mind blowing. Anyway, Fanatec Wheel should arrive this week fingers crossed.
@@LV2PLA does it work if you will play ps4 game on ps5? Is there any way to bypass this restriction? I have this adapter and both ps4 pro and ps5 and I wanna buy GT7. But I don't know will I lose significant difference in experience by playing on ps4 pro. Though I don't see meaning to play game with better graphics only on controller and lose all experience.
It looks like they have taken the page down, and you can no longer buy this converter. I just bought their latest (Ras1lution 2) that works on PS5, PS4, Xbox etc. It looks like Brook is forcing everybody to buy that one instead.
Not a dumb question. I mapped mine with a PS3 controller, but others who have commented said they didn't need it. So to answer your not-dumb question with a dumb answer: yes and no.
I tried to buy a silver '02 but the seller wouldn't let me take it to an independent mechanic for a PBI. Fail. I think the silver does a great job showing off the lines! Keep enjoying your Spyder!
@@velocity1537 I'm not sure what you mean by "strength". As in the intensity of the force-feedback? You CAN adjust it as normal in-game. And there is no difference in intensity (which is what I am guessing you mean by strenght, yes?)
You are the man bro I’m sure this video is old but your reaction says it all a real true convincing worth buying a must have thank you so much I’m on my way
This was such an awesome review, made me appreciate my MR-S even more 😊 was such a heavily under appreciated car until very recently. The values are shooting up
Indeed, prices are rising. Not that we bought ours as a financial investment, but we could easily turn a profit compared to what we bought ours for. But the Smiles Per Gallon? Priceless!
So very well said! When we added coilovers to replace the worn-out struts, I needed to relearn the respect all over again! The envelope was the same but the margins became slimmer: you could push to the edge more confidently, but finding that edge comes in a terrifying instant.
Thanks! Just trying to record life's adventures while we're still able to have them. I'm curious - how did you find the channel? That's always fascinating to me.
My father started skiing in his 60's as well! He saw his kids doing it and figured "Why not me?" He loved every minute of it and embodied the ethos my family continues to ski by: "If at the end of the day you had fun, you win!" Welcome to skiing! Have fun!
