I just put mine out on the curb same problems as most of you. I ran all the tests and ended up with 6 flashes off the LED green light. The compressor is bad and from what I understand the board needs to be replaced along with the new compressor for software upgrades. I bought a no frills Maytag side by side no ice or water keep it simple people. With no ice maker you gain a lot of freezer space.
Good afternoon, what code appeared on the computer because p0446 appears on my Hummer H2. I would like to know to see if it is the same problem that I have
yep. Went through a horrible experience with LG. A new 1800$ fridge, 2 week in.. freezing over. Spoiled everything. 4 technicians in 5 months. Lemon law, money was finally returned. What a pain in the arse it was. Hours and hours on phone to get justice. What did I learn? A) 5 year extended warranty is crap! B) Never buy appliances from HD. 24h return policy only. The C) LG is not what it used to be. (But they all get the components from 1-2 manufacturers. Jesus is King!
I have an LG Model LFXS2977S. I just thought I would mention my experience. This model fridge is an inverted motherboard. It displays error code 22 and actually does not have a start relay as it is built into the brain. It has an overload protector. That part can go out. If you remove the overload protector and test it and it's bad - good news! Replace for $15 and continue with your life. If the overload protector has continuity - then the search begins. On the inverter linear compressor check the windings by reading continuity and ohms from the common pin to the run pin. The start pin will do nothing - no continuity no resistance .. it's supposed to - it's designed that way. Check see if your compressor is actually running. If it's vibrating - then it's on. Feel the return lines. They should be cold. Feel the high pressure line - it should be hot. If they aren't then your compressor is dead. Now, if the compressor isn't running and you've replaced the OLP, you probably have a bad board. There's acpl hundred $$ but super easy fix. You can do it yourself. But if that compressor is on and your not chilling at all - nothing could. It's likely the compressor. These fridges are known for them going bad. Mine lasted 6 years. I love the design too. But off to a whirlpool I go because my compressor ended up being bad.

I So far Love my LG Fridge. I have had it for 5 years now. The design is as Good as it Gets as far as space and usefulness. By watching these fixit videos when my goes out I will fix what needs to be fixed. It will be worth it.
So he touched the reset button 3 times and then the whatever button he didn’t touch. He shined the light but I still didn’t know what button he was talking about🙄
I called Samsung for my refrigerator for warranty work and because I am the second owner of the refrigerator, the refused to honor the warranty. I guess they will do anything they can do to get out of honoring their warrantees. It had a 5 yr warranty on the compressor. I guess they feel that the compressor gets offended being transferred to a new owner and therefore fails because the original owner sold it. What ever happened to warrantying the product you sell? So watch out when you buy a house with appliances that are 2-3 yrs old and have either original warrantees or extended warrantees.
These big companies don't care about customer satisfaction these days. They expect customer loyalty but don't realize they have to earn it. back in the 70s 80s, and into the 90s, we used to be Ford customers. My wife bought a brand new, top of the line Ford Taurus station wagon. Had numerous tranny symptoms from day one and Ford kept saying the symptoms were normal. At 37,000 miles the tranny failed completely and Ford said it was not their problem anymore. Hence, we, and our whole extended family, and most of our friends went from Ford to Honda and Toyota, and we could not be happier with the way we have been treated by them.
Nope. Error code 22 on the lg site clearly says it is a bad condenser relay. How would he have been on the 22nd stage of the test when he had pressed the button for the second time which asks for an error code? Why are you spreading BS you know nothing about?
Hello there I have a lg french door refrigerator and it had suddenly stopped cooling. It had been giving the ff error code so I replaced both freezer evaporate fans and still its not getting cold at all and giving me the ff error code. I have do idea what else it could be and was wondering if you had any idea what it could be. Any help would be appreciated thank you!
Come on man. Error 22? That's the test cycle it's currently in. What about when you push the test button for the third time and get "error" 33? Take this nonsense down.
I Could not understand what the second button that i was suppose to push it wasn"t clear he pointed to bottom and then up to the side blue button. which one is it?????
these are not error codes this is diagnostic mode see this video >>>>>ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-70y61Sq_NU0.html&ab_channel=YourSelf
Nic, Thank you so much for making this video. Dimitri is way out to lunch. Lila is right on target. When I first went to the LG website and found the error code page, I did not realize that I had to mouse click on the error code to get the information that it had to provide. The compressor relay will be very easy to replace. I had to remove it when making electrical measurements on the compressor connector pins that go into the relay. My measurements of the compressor connector pins was entirely normal. A local electrical repairman came to our house and measured the temperature of the refrigerator and freezer but never pressed the test button on the control panel or he would have seen just what your video demonstrates. His diagnosis was that we would need a new compressor and that it's cost plus the cost of labor to install the compressor would be $1500. His employer of course is an electrical appliance dealership.
22 is not your error code. You are giving wrong info there bud. 22 stage and for some next press goes into 33 then back to normal. Should also have an led light blinking which actually gives u the proper error code.
What if it doesn't blink man? I tested it in each mode it did what it was suppose to do I mean as far as what I read nd searched up. But when I put it back to normal it doesn't do nothing. The compressor hums the fan next to it its running but inside nothing is going on
I have same fridge Pulled it out, checked obvious things: condenser coil dirty - cleaned that Ran diagnostics- no error code Compressor runs, but not cooling Acting like refrigerant low/ out or EVAP fan malfunction Weird, so bought new fridge - living outta cooler and dorm fridge til it's delivered Scheduled repair, and if it's fixable will use as garage fridge or sell Failed refrigerators suck! Lost all the food...
LG LMX25964ST/02 not cooling Changed PCB, Thermistor/relay and Capacitor. Test buttom not indicating any blinking lights . Condensor fan working. Compressor is humming, no weird noises. What can I also check? Is it a system leak, no freon?
I had a similar problem and called the LG customer service. Surprisingly, cs rep told me that LG extended warranty for 5yr labor , 10yr part It was due to "linear inverter compressor".
@@JOSEVASQUEZ-yc4ju Yes. LG sent service men next day, and fixed the compressor for free. LG was super nice. Service men told me LG revised the compressor design and it should be much better now.
my fridge went out 3 months ago we called LG and they said we were out of warranty we had bought extended warranty but it was up in may,so i dont know what to do or say to them to get them to fix it .do i say iv been told that this company said that they have extended the warranty?
Just went through this myself and can confirm 100% this is the case. Please do not buy the part mentioned in the video, these are not error codes, these are just telling you what step of the diagnostics cycle you are on. Error codes will be displayed without user interaction on the front panel.
Nic!!! Thanks so much, I received the same error. I literally bought $175 worth of groceries and $124 worth of Chinese food the night before, also so much frozen fruit in the freezer for smoothies, all toast. I thought I was going to have to pay for another fridge or $$$$$ out to a repair guy. THANK YOU!
Did you fix your fridge by resolving the problem as indicated in the error code 22? I have an almost identical fridge made by LG (it's branded as Kenmore) and am wondering if I should follow this process to fix it my myself.
@@macksoneh i have an LG similar to it, Error 22 and not cooling...i changed the relay and still not working...don't take my comment as a solution but just letting you know my experience, and it's still ongoing...still not fixed.
@@OMNITEK Thank you for a follow-up. Actually I ended up replacing the broken LG fridge with a basic Whirlpool fridge (a made in USA model). So far so good. 😂
@@macksoneh so, no luck in repairing at all?....on mine i just tested all fans...compressor...electric...everything looks and seems great...just not cooling at all ...fans run when on..no ice buildup, no dust blocking...i tested the pressure by the "new backyard " method by a bullet piercing...and the pressure remains high or 0 with no vacuum which i am thinking there is some blocked pipe on the evaporator somewhere...meaning...new fridge might be the only way...lol...glad you commented back too so i know i'm not chasing my tail haha
So fyi... I gave up on trying to diagnose my LG fridge and called a specialist. Talking to him, I found out that there's a class action lawsuit against LG for these fridge that has the Linier Compressor in them. So if u call LG support they will service for free! Given it's less than 10yrs. It's a known issue with these Linier Compressor to go bad within a few years. So much for liability....
@@sandysavard8030there should be a number u can call inside the fridge where the fridge's info is but here's the number of u can't find it. 800.243 0000. U will need the serial number of your fridge and model number too. LG sent a tech over and replaced my compressor with no charge so it was good news for me. I'm good to go for now... Good luck.
@@coreymiller1396yes he did. Really cool guy and replaced it so fast I didn't even get to see it, I was on a conference call. My LG is running nice and cold again. I assumed it's not hard to replace the compressor, but tuning it is another story and you'll need the right tool like a vacuum to tuned it and etc....
