Fished it in the 70s before the crowds. Saw 2 other fishermen between the dam and little hole. Saw only one other fisherman from little hole to Browns Park. I guess all good things eventually end.😥
Nice video and some great fish. I used to fish there in the late 80's early 90's when the fish were stacked like cord wood. 75 fish days were the norm. The fish fought so hard and ripped line off your reel so fast the tip top guide on the rod would need to be replaced due to grooves. No lie! It looks you like fellows had a great time. Thanks for sharing. Brings back a lot of good memories. And because of that, I might go back.
I don't recognize the area but I used to fish Pine Creek in western PA when I was younger. We would have someone drop us off at the iron bridge and we would work the stream down to the Alleghany river. Good times.
By all means though that’s a nice brown!! Me and my buddy just fished a few of the areas last Friday !! We got into a bunch of large brown I got a 3.5lb golden too
Biggest trout you ever seen?? You guys should come upstate ny and get some fall run browns full eggs you’ll have sacs for a few years and 5-8 lbs is average up there in the fall!! Steelhead too!! Brown eggs are the best though
It is technically a "Navigable" waterway, so you are allowed to walk in it as long as you stay in the creek bed, as well as access the creek without trespassing.
The little catfish you caught is what we refer to as “madtoms” they live under rocks for the most part and are dynamite smallmouth bait. I bet those big trout would smoke em too.
Shattered my heel falling from a tree when trying to cut a shooting lane. Wasn't even 12 feet of the ground. NEVER leave the ground with out a harness and a lifeline!
Don’t wanna give away the exact location but not far. Anything around the stretch is great fishing! We definitely fished a ways both up and down from the manor
@@claytonswartz6223 I completely understand. My gang just started fishing up on big and little pine and heard about slate run and took a drive the other day up there but only went up about 4 miles from hotel manor and turned around. Wasn't sure how far up the fishing is good there
