I have no idea whether or not Diane is guilty or innocent. She spent so much time acting inappropriate for the camera and lying to everyone and it hurts my head to even think about it much at this point. However, there was twice over the last 15 years ago or so where I started googling the case and ran across a couple of posts of someone claiming that she was "innocent" and they were there. I can't find the posts anymore, but they were several years apart. The person seemed to be the same person with the same story in both. He was saying that it was a set up that Diane was in on for some attention seeking or monetary reason, but it all went wrong. He said no one was actually supposed to get hurt, and Diane didn't pull the trigger. He said he was a teenager at the time and was with his uncle or some other family member at the time. Probably just an internet troll but interesting none the less. Wish I could find those posts again.
I worked for a contractor on El Toro for 10 years doing construction. The final 2 years were environmental remediation and it was a total joke. Do not live in the homes built anywhere close to that place. The two generals’ quarters had their water supply to their quarters filtered, but no one else got filtered water. We dug up tons of hideous chemicals. Aliso creek runs through the base and ends in Laguna Beach and I always see kids playing in the creek water at the beach. Anyone who goes near that place will absolutely have negative health.

EOD support, aviation ground support, Those are gung ho field MP jobs that are done by Military Police in the Marines. I know the way we changed once we shifted out of cold war mode when it came to a lot of the chemicals we used. The chemical dump area by our hangar never ever grew grass no matter how much we tried to fix it. We used Trych like people use lysol deodarannt on their counters against covid. Poltergeist movie- any Cold War era base is loaded with bear trap like spots where a homeowner has no clue what they are buying. I am also sure that a lot of the base is perfectly normal. Somewhere between the scammers wanting government money, and people with true illnesses from being exposed excessively, lies the truth.

Did Diane hire a shooter? Small Sacrifices, the tv mini-series, claimed she was paid $10,000 for being a surrogate. What did she do with the money? There are people in this world who would commit such a crime for a few thousand dollars. Maybe, that's why Diane was free of any gun residue. She didn't have the blood spatter to corroborate the prosecution's claims either. Again, a hired hand would explain why. Of course, Diane would never reveal the identity of someone she hired herself; therefore, her hired co-conspirator would have no worries of being identified. Stephen, her 3 year old son, said the shooter was a man. The prosecution probably knew Diane's hired perpetrator would never be found, so she became the sole target and focus; hence, the shooter. I was stationed at MCAS El Toro March 1978 to May 1982 but remained at ET as a dependent wife. I filed a claim for compensation with the VA 12+ years ago and I am still fighting this claim with appeals. I keep getting VA correspondence that is so ridiculous in its request. I was able to get my hands on a report that listed (ground water survey records) of the presence of the 2 components of Agent Orange 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and 2,4,5-trichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4,5-T). Now the VA wants me to list, in detail, how often I was exposed to TCE and/or AO, or other chemicals. For me this all happened 40+ years ago and as a good Marines (I was stationed with MWSG-37), I explained to the VA that we did what we were told to do. Take barrel(s) of "whatever" from Point A to Point B. We didn't keep ledgers of what it was. It's just their way of finding another excuse to once again deny me for a pituitary tumor and Sjogrens (an autoimmune disease). Despite the fact that Reynauds and Lupus in on the 'presumptive' list, Sjogren's is part of that family of autoimmune diseases that I've suffered with for 12+ years. I doubt I'll live long enough to see my claim finished.

Use to see El Toro and Tustin LTA burn off old fuel, and whatever else were in those pits, back in the early seventies. Sky filled with black, black, black smoke and you could see the giant plumes from miles away. Found out years ago our water table is contaminated with toxins from those bases. No doubt, some of us in the area back then drank some of that.

The thing is, Diane Downs own daughter who survived testified it was her mom. Diane Downs is so disturbed.... When her daughter she had in prison contacted her later on life she was talking CRAZY. she is very mentally ill now. I feel bad for her brother having to listen to her narrative his entire life. She may not even know what's real or not anymore herself. :(. It just doesn't make sense. A man didn't stop her in the middle of the night driving and just shoot her kids and run away 🤷. She really thought that was going to fly. I have a very close loved family member in prison for the rest of his life, NO parole He killed his dad, my uncle. It is very obvious he did it, there was video, audio, gps, and other supporting evidence. The jury took less than 40 minutes to return the verdict. He is 27. He has never been arrested before this in his life. He snapped. And he fully denies killing him. He took it to trial, without a single witness to call, no cross exam, and the only thing the lawyer could say in defense at closing statement was"the one thing that is consistent about the defendant is that he is inconsistent and has told so many lies how could you believe he killed his dad?" 😬🤣. Now he's been in prison a year. Adamantly denies everything still. His first set of appeals have been denied a few months ago. He is manic, he has no internalization of the fact that his life is over as he knows it and he won't actually be getting out, and he lives in his head. I had to stop taking his calls because of i say and listened to him 24/7 my mind would start to become warped to his delusions and i think that's what is going on with her brother. Narcissistic and sociopathic pepe are mesmerizing. If you are on their good side, they can captivate you and draw you in and brie you know it you are 1000000% subscribed to their narrative, despite actual reality being so contradictory.
